I don't know if I've ever started an FP baseball thread before, but the Patriots have begun the season at 14-1 after tonights district win over Grant. Score was 17-1. The Patriots have some quality pitchers and can really hit. Jr. Kenyon Major is batting over .600 with nearly 30 rbi's.

Thanks for the good words. We kinda feel the same way about Kenyon. He is a once in a lifetime kid, both on and off the field. I'm pretty anxious to see that Honeycut kid from WO pitch. I hear nothing but good things about him.

Honeycutt is a Pretty good kid .... works hard does not get rattled to easy...clocked this yr at 90 and developing a good curveball with a very good slider/cutter.

I wonder what Mitch thought about us. He stayed at tonight's game until the 7th inning.

Honeycutt was outstanding on the mound tonight, but Kenyon didn't disappoint either.

FP completed the sweep of Grant tonite winning two games that were rained out a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed with how much Grant had improved since the 17-1 game 1. Grant led for much of both games tonight, but Franklin Parish was able to dig deep and get the victories. As usual, Kenyon Major was a star for the Patriots, both at the plate and on the pitchers mound.

Franklin Parish went through Warren Easton in round 1 with 6-1 victory. Pitcher Landon Chunn struck out 9 and only threw 82 pitches to gain the victory. 3rd baseman Kenyon Major cranked his 9th homerun and 49th RBI of the season to lead the Pats to a win!!!! Round 2 vs. Carrencro.

Franklin Parish sitting in the unexpected cat bird seat with upset losses to higher seeds West Ouachita, Northwood and North Desoto. It's playoff time, so you never know, but they have a great opportunity to get to the quarter finals.
