Kinder and Sterlington should be favorites. Sterlington beat Kinder 10-0 and Lakeview beat Sterlington. I'm not knocking on Kinder just saying Lakeview should be considered. |

Lakeside, Sterlington, Kinder, DeQuincy, and Many all have a good shot at winning it in 2A. It's All about whos playing good baseball in two weeks when the brackets are issued. Also don't count out teams like Rosepine or French Settlement...they are solid also. |

Lakeside won't even win District 1 this year. Go public schools!! Lakeside beat calvary last Thursday, then lost in extra innings friday, and lost 2nd game of double header and it was close to, don't see any of the top 5 other than Sterlington being in the same class as lakeside, of course you people from the south are obviously biased or just don't know anything about baseball than ur local teams to say kinder will win it all |

Lakeside is nothing special. Good team but not like the past lakeside teams. See several teams that are as good or better.

Unless somebody in that district beats Sterlington i'll call them the favorite. Kinder is certainly in the mix but has been up and down this year, partly due to playing a lot of underclassmen in an effort to build depth but has played the toughest schedule in 2A. Lakeside is another contender but Calvary is their only competition in a weak district. DeQuincy, Many, and Loreauville could also make deep runs. Bunkie could pull an upset, as could French Settlement who has played 2 close games against defending State Champ STA. Other teams that could bust some brackets with upsets are Mangham, Welsh, Mamou, and perhaps Madison Prep. I'm ready for the regular season to be over so we can see what the brackets are going to look like which should help us make some better predictions. I may even start a Bracket Challenge Thread for the playoffs for a little friendly competition.

Everyone has valid points about every team, but none of us can compare who is better by who played who and won and lost to this team etc etc, when ur dealing with teenagers u never know what is on there mind on a daily basis, let's just relax and let the playoffs settle it then we will have something to discuss until then Goodluck to all teams north and south
