I wasn't at the game so I couldn't tell u other than to say, that's baseball. They did have a game where they held Riverside to just 6 runs lol. We rebuilding a little this year so we've had trouble scoring runs at times. WSJ didn't score so it might not have been as close as the score. Results are starting to filter in and a few of the games have been closers than expected.

Wow WSJ is bad!!!. Many just may have a chance in the quarters. Many Kinder game will be a good series.
I'm sure this will probably wake them up, unfortunately.

It looks like it could an interesting playoff. #2 Dequincy only won 7-4. There's 6 more 1st round games and they could be close. In 5A the #3 and # 5 teams only won by 1 run and the #27 team actually beat the #6 team. In 4A #29 beat #4 and in 3A # 4 only won by 2 runs. Could be more surprises coming.

It's baseball. In 2014 (Kinder's first Champ run) they beat the no. 31 seed Oak Hill 1-0 in the first round. It happens.

At this point every time I hear split talk it reminds me of this..
31 seed is a bad team regardless. No.2 has no business losing to 31. In 2014 or in 1957.
Every tear I see fall for the split, it reminds me that there is always the MAIS

All it takes is one pitcher that's on his A game and you have yourself a ballgame.

Good luck to y'all against Calvary in the first round. Hope y'all whoop 'em. Why do you hope another private south Louisiana team whoops Calvary? Because you're a hater? Calvary doesn't hate North Caddo during basketball season. Sad. Calvary doesn't have one kid from Vivian. Not one. Northwood does, though.

That is correct, for single elimination. With the 3 game series, you really need no less than 4 quality pitchers. And I am assuming that you will have one that may throw a complete game, with one closer, if it goes to 3. And Walker is a good ball club, so no surprise to me that they beat Destrehan.

All it takes is one pitcher that's on his A game and you have yourself a ballgame. That's what happened yesterday with Kinder and WSJ. Kinder was obviously flat to begin with. WSJ threw an unorthodox ephus slow / junk baller style pitcher for 3 innings and then brought in a kid who was pretty solid. Kinder never could get a bead on the first pitcher and then a couple of atom balls off the second and never could get a rally going. If WSJ had any offense, this could have been a major upset. I'm sure Kinder won't come in flat again......... playing down to the competition played a part.

Sometimes the favorite sees that big number next to the other teams name and doesn't focus on the task at hand. Happens at every level.

Not used to seeing that bad of pitching, and kinder played down to their competition.
