Their a deep, well rounded team with a 26-5 overall record that tied for the District 2-2A Championship with Ouachita Christian and earned the #1 seed for the playoffs. They have players from their State Championship football team giving them big game, championship experience so they won't blink or be intimidated by the circumstances. They have a deep staff led by a couple of Senior pitchers and have great leadership from players like SS Carson Clowers who was the starting QB on their State Championship football team. They can also score a lot of runs however in all 5 of their loses they were held to 4 runs or less. Loreauville has a fine baseball tradition and has been hot lately so they have a more than good chance of pulling off the upset.

Sterlington will have to bring their "A" game to handle Loreauville, who has been a perenial power in the 2A playoffs for some time now!! Can remember as far back as the LHP Hebert that signed with Arizona came from Loreauville. It will DEFINITELY be competitive in the quarterfinals to get to the STATE TOURNAMENT!!! The Panthers are rolling & playing at home so the nod goes to Sterlington.... In my humble opinion...

Not to take anything away from Sterlington or Loreauville but In the real world it's a 5 seed Vs a 23 seed. Opelousas Catholic is the #1 seed and rightfully earned it. Funny how quick we forget. Congrats to all

The Tigers will be ready. Just hoping they aren't too hyped up and start making mental mistakes. I'm ready to head up there right now and start tailgating!

Not a bad idea except for the flash flooding, hail, and 50 mile an hour wind! The split is real and Sterlington is the #1 seed for the 2A playoffs. I wasn't in favor of a split in baseball or softball but it happened. Bring up the combined rankings if u must but just like them your B.S. is useless B.S. and quite irrelevant.

Daylight savings time is real too, And every one still complains about it. Sorry I hurt your feelings. And it's not the 2a playoff, it's the not select side of the 2a playoffs.

Game 1 : Sterlington 8 - Loreauville 1
Bus issue (school board mechanic should be fired) cause us to leave at 10:00 am instead of 8:30 am. Smooth traffic all the way up and arrived at 2 instead of the planned 1. Kids handled the situation well. Walks and 2 errors doomed us from the start. Our hitters couldn't square up the ball and hit mostly lazy fly balls or pop ups. Only hard hit ball was right at the first baseman for a DP. Now we move on to game 2.

Sterlington wins game 2 by a score of 5-1. Both teams put pressure on offense but Loreauville didn't get the timely hits that they needed.
