How do u not run with day-day 1 time?!?!? quit trying to pad stats of the qb and give our best player the ball. Parents money and crying should not decide about who stats go up 1. They are not going to take a chance on their rb getting injured against arguably the worst football team in 2A. 2. All the starters were out before the start of the 2nd qtr. Running clock ended the game by 8:30 pm. 3. They have a really good matchup against Mansfield on 10/28. The rb will get plenty of carries and then some that game. 4. They have a really good matchup against North Caddo on 11/2. Same scenario. 5. The rb will get plenty of carries come playoff time. Coaches determine the game plan. Not the parents.

is it day day or da da? pronounced the same way. Great question because no one at calvary spells it Dayday. It is pronounced the same way. Dada had two touchdowns tonight. Last week, Dada rushed for 4 touchdowns in the 1st quarter and calvary threw 4 passes in the entire game lol. I probably shouldn't put this out there but this is all I'll say: the coaches of both teams are friends and spoke in depth about the play calling in this game. Also, running clock started with 2:00 to go in 1st quarter at 35-0 and the refs called 6 penalties in a row on calvary to end the half. It was 3rd and goal from the 50 to end the half. I'm not putting that on the refs. I wouldn't put it past our classy coach to tell the refs to throw flags on us. For this yahoo to continously get on here and whine shows his ignorance and axe grinding. Is his kid a lineman and wanted some run blocking tape against a kid that weighed 90 pounds? It's just weird.

They need to go and let coach Dawson teach them how to coach Unfortunately if your school doesn't have public funding it's tough to operate without daddy coaches. Most daddy coaches can separate daddy/son on the field or court and some simply can't. I wouldn't let it drive you because there is nothing you can do about it. I am a believer in daddy coaches. However, I am totally against part time volunteers that don't commit to attend every practice, game or team function. This includes JV games. Well, they will attend JV games if their son is playing. Lmao!

More like daddy cryin!!! Lol!! I love this board!!! And you bring up Dawson? That was awesome!!! Whatever you do, don’t think for one second that the reason your son hasn’t caught a pass in three games is because there are players in front of him that are better...

Deadman, you sound like a very typical daddy coach. Are you the daddy coach?!?! I love when people make the statement, "maybe another player is better." Very very typical response from a daddy coach.

You’re the type of guy that would rather have your kid play and the team lose then have the better player play and win, aren’t you??? Oh, and there is nothing typical about me...

Last question. How is saying that maybe the players playing in front of the kid are better qualifies as daddy coach? That would be a logical question from any intelligent human being.

So a parent at Calvary is upset that his kid did not get to catch 6 or 7 TD passes in a game that was 35-0 in 1st quarter? How will he ever prove how good he is.

You are right.a lot of those parents need to be in a daycare.they always go crying to the coaches.and the coaches put their kid in. This team is suppose to be 6-2 right now.

Stop worrying about this subject. It will never end on either side. You will always have disgruntled parents and you will always have coaches that are not right. As for as the daddy coaches, they will never go away either. Most dads will favor their son. Period. Bottom line. Just expect it.

Here is what you should expect...
You should expect the best player at the position will play. Period.
That’s logic.
Either you want to win or you don’t. Anything else is ridiculous.
This is high school football. This isn’t middle school, not SPAR or YMCA youth ball either. If you pay for your son to go to private school you are paying for him to go to private school, not play football. If your son goes to public school, he’s going to public school, not play football. Works both ways in the private and public arena. Playing football is a privilege not a right. Just because your son is there doesn’t give him the right to anything. It has to be earned.
Again, that’s logic.
If you think that the coaches who are paid to coach football and make their living coaching and teaching at Calvary, or Evangel or Loyola, or Byrd, or Shreve, or Woodlawn or anywhere else in the city are playing kids just because the parents are whining and crying you really are on a different plain of reality from the rest of us. Making up your own conclusions is a bad idea without doing any investigating to make sure if it is true. Listening to heresay and innuendo is a bad idea. Repeating it without making sure it is true is even worse. It just perpetuates the false allegation that was spewed in the first place. Do your research, talk to the coach and ask the coach why your son isn’t playing more. Going straight to the horses mouth so to speak is a lot easier. You may not get the answer you are looking for but at least you’ll know. Blasting anonymously on a chat board???
Anyone can do that...

Correct Deadman. That is very good logic only if it's followed just like you wrote it.
Someone sent me a private message explaining the rant. I get it. I was a volunteer coach at one time and I played my son every inning of every game and batted him leadoff so he could get the most at-bats. He had 2 hits in 3 years of middle school ball. The parents complained and I simply told them, "he's better than the others." I also coached middle school football and played him at QB and we loss every game for 3 years! So, I know first hand daddy ball exist. LMAO!!
