Great game, defense-optional! So a few things to note, if FP is one worse, and could have won last night, them Tigers better be careful next week, especially since the Rams are "significantly" better than the Tigers. I guess at least I'm up one soda, right logic? Remember me giving you 21 pts vs W.O, after you said they would play Neville a close game. I am feeling a little better, like the Tigers may have a chance to play with the Mighty Rams in two weeks!!! I think I have two sodas on the line for that one!

Bastrop and FP play games like this every year. Records mean nothing. If Neville’s O-line is as good as they say, Neville should win. FP’s O-line was dominant. And, they are all sopres.

It's all in fun. I was mainly throwing some shade at Logic, who thinks Neville is way inferior to Bastrop this year. I look for the Neville vs FP and Neville vs Bastrop games to be good games. Ram, we are definitely still on for that cold drink!! DoubleJ, I noticed you doing a lot of stuff with WM. What gives there?

Ram, we are definitely still on for that cold drink!! DoubleJ, I noticed you doing a lot of stuff with WM. What gives there? I truly thought they were inferior. I meant that as no disrespect Sargon, genuinely. I saw how Bastrop won some games and competing in some tough games while Neville was thoroughly out performed in 3 games this year. I also saw their performance against a very bad Franklinton team to be shady. I have seen Neville play twice this year. I have no seen Bastrop play, but I have seen some film. I trust 1983ram when he insists their coaching is subpar. That is unfortunate. I still believe Neville will lose to Bastrop because those kids at Bastrop will be dialed in at home for another big game. They seem to get up for big games and play down in games that aren't a big test on paper. That is a coaching problem indeed. Keeping kids focused each week is a tall order. Takes all the position coaches and the head coach to keep their attention. Just as Franklinton gave Neville all they wanted being a very bad team, I expect Bastrop who is significantly better than Franklinton to do the same. I do think they have superior talent, but obviously if their coaches don't get them ready in week 10 they will lose. Yet, I see from their schedule and opponents they likely will definitely be ready and should win still. There are things that are too PC to say on these forums, but if I could I would say it. Either way I stand firm in believing Bastrop will win that last game. I think the coaches will have them dialed in to slow Neville's running game and that their offense will move the ball consistently through the air as they are extremely athletic on the outside. Just my opinion now Sargon, that is all.

Logic, no worries. I have really thick skin. I've been a few rounds with several of the good people on here, especially when my boys were playing at Neville. Now I'm just one of those old guys in the stands. As for the Bastrop game, I think it will be a good game. I hope Bastrop has better support, at home than in recent years! I loved the games between the Tigers and the Rams. As for Neville, I'm not sure what has been going on, I'm sure some of these guys on he do, but Neville is down several players from the start of the year. They are still the team to beat in 2-4A. Bastrop will score but Neville will chew he clock up. First, we have to beat FP. As we saw last Friday, they are a team to be reckoned with.

Just wanted to point out, in last weeks game FP had the ball for 35 minutes. Bastrop did all that damage in just 13 minutes. We just needed 1 stop but couldn’t get it.

Ram, we are definitely still on for that cold drink!! DoubleJ, I noticed you doing a lot of stuff with WM. What gives there? "I saw how Bastrop won some games and competing in some tough games while Neville was thoroughly out performed in 3 games this year. I also saw their performance against a very bad Franklinton team to be shady.
I have seen Neville play twice this year. I have no seen Bastrop play, but I have seen some film."
- Was Bastrop's game against a very bad Franklin Parish team not shady? What is your criteria for a shady game? "I trust 1983ram when he insists their coaching is subpar. That is unfortunate." - This statement shows you agree with the opinion that Bastrop's coaching is subpar."I still believe Neville will lose to Bastrop because those kids at Bastrop will be dialed in at home for another big game."- Based on what evidence? Do you believe that those kids on Forsythe do not get dialed in for big games? If not, check the number of district and state titles over the last eight years. Furthermore, if Bastrop gets "dialed in at home for big games" then why did they lose to Brother Martin and Airline?"They seem to get up for big games and play down in games that aren't a big test on paper. That is a coaching problem indeed. Keeping kids focused each week is a tall order. Takes all the position coaches and the head coach to keep their attention." - Once again, you agree with the opinion that Bastrop's coaching is subpar, or at the minimum, that there is a coaching problem at Bastrop. Again, were Brother Martin and Airline not big tests on paper? If not, why?"Just as Franklinton gave Neville all they wanted being a very bad team, I expect Bastrop who is significantly better than Franklinton to do the same."- Just as Franklin Parish gave Bastrop all they wanted being a very bad team, I expect Neville who is significantly better than Franklin Parish to do the same. See how that works? "I do think they have superior talent"- Based on what evidence? Film, perhaps? I'd take Neville's talent. "Yet, I see from their schedule and opponents they likely will definitely be ready and should win still." - Lol, what?? This is just throwing something at the wall hoping it sticks. Bastrop lost at HOME to a bad Brother Martin and an average Airline. If anything, those losses prove that Bastrop does NOT get dialed in for big games at home. "There are things that are too PC to say on these forums, but if I could I would say it." - Not to be facetious, but "PC" means you can say it anywhere, including this forum. "Either way I stand firm in believing Bastrop will win that last game." - Good luck with that. "I think the coaches will have them dialed in to slow Neville's running game and that their offense will move the ball consistently through the air as they are extremely athletic on the outside." - I have pointed out that you twice agreed to the notion that Bastrop's coaching is subpar or problematic. How can you agree with that notion and then turn around and say the coaches will have them dialed in? Seems contradictory. I'd love to keep the narrative going but you have to stick to one side of the fence. Creating false binaries is a surefire way to have your statements thoroughly dismantled. Neville and Bastrop is a fierce rivalry. These teams hate each other, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Bastrop steal one at home. I think Neville pulls it out again this year.

I've been busy wrapping up my Master's, teaching and coaching. I think Neville will be fine, too. I think Jordan Thomas is the future under center. Moving Phillips back to the Oline was the right move, in my opinion. Anything is possible, I suppose. You know they'd love to beat us. I'm not worried about logic. He can't be any worse than what Sixpack or Irish used to be like, lol.

If bastrop coaching us that bad give me Neville by about 14. That's a shame too, who is the coach over there Former offensive coordinator Adrian Burnette is head coach. I’m not gonna bash the coaches they’re still in position to win a district title and make a run in the playoffs. Just looking at the big picture fundamentals and the program as a whole from freshmen up it’s dissapointing considering where it should be...

Doublej after seeing y'alls score with Ferriday I kind wrote y'all off but this score was an eye opener. What's going on which game was the outlier? How would you see a matchup of Bastrop and 2-A Ferriday
