Anyone have any insight on the St. Amant and EA game this week?

I've only seen St. Amant play once (21-14 over Catholic) so I can't comment on EA much.
I was very surprised when St. Amant lost to Dutchtown. They were coming off that huge win against Catholic, so maybe they just got caught up in the moment and lost focus that week of practice.
Looking at each teams results and common opponents, St. Amant appears to be better on the offensive side of the ball, while EA looks like the dominant defensive team. Given that the game will be at St. Amant, I would lean toward the Gators to win and really screw up the district standings.
I hate to drive down there, but I probably will.

Throw the records out with this one. Pure ascension parish rivalry here. Both have good wins over catholic and as Mr. banes mentioned St Amant has a hiccup vs Dutchtown.
Both have good RBs in Cade Nelson and Jimel London. EA has a massive Nose Guard who’s only a junior. Should be a strength on strength game St Amant offense vs EA defense

Game is at EA which is on Burnside, which will be shutdown that night because of how many people will be there Friday night. You can throw records out the window, even though they have the same record, but this will be a fun game to watch. These kids are gonna give it their all for their school and communities.
St Amant has a good offense but their QB is shaky at times. Played a great game against Catholic and then had a let down the next week against Dutchtown, which the whole team basically played a bad game against Dutchtown. Cade Nelson, the STA running back is small but very strong and powerful for someone his size. He is not afraid to run people over. St Amant defense is also very good.
Haven't followed EA that much but from what I'm gathering they're gonna pound the ball and their defense is very good.
All and all this should be a very physical game to watch and will be a very exciting rivalry game to watch. This is the game of the week in my opinion across the entire state. This also may be the biggest St Amant and EA game ever with them both being in the top 5 in the power ratings and the winner will take the district title. I'll be at the old stadium on Burnside on Friday night cheering on my Gators! GEAUX GATORS!

Not only will this game put Gonzales on pause for a few hours and shutting down Hwy 44, it will be a great contest and the rivals will battle for 48 minutes with a one score win either way. Goodluck to both teams. I wish I could be there to watch it.

What has been the issue with EAs offense past few weeks? Have they been missing a key player or what?

Just as an FYI, the LHSAA shows that this is a home game for St. Amant, and will be at the Pit.

Last year it was at The Pit so I just assumed it would be at EA this year. They keep screwing up the scheduling and you'll play teams 2 years in a row at the same place. I don't get it but this makes me happier that it's at The Pit. GEAUX GATORS!
