Curious will the district games for baseball be the same teams we played in our district football games?

When the boys lost to ND in 2016 in the Semis (I think) that was two of the best games. I hated ND. I just didn't realize how quickly I would learn to enjoy hating them. Nothing better than a great rival

What i'm curious to see is how many times the teams are going to play each other. With only 5 teams in 6-2A playing each other twice would make it an 8 game district schedule. Some districts choose to play each other 3 times to create more district match ups and more scheduled games overall. So the question is, 2 or 3 times lol.

I tried to send you a pic of the schedule but I can't get it to load But anyway to answer your question District play for Kinder will open with ND on March 20 playing each team twice with games with other teams mixed in the schedule. Last district game is April 19 against Lake Arthur

Nothing better than a great rival ND will be senior heavy this year(7 senior starters), they should be a little better than their were in 2016 and 2017 (last 2 years). But pitching will be the key, most of our pitching depth will come from the Junior class. Nobody over powering 3 or 4 kids that can throw in the mid 80's. If pitching is strong then we will be alright if not then we will be just like the previous 2 seasons. it should be fun we just finished being in a district last year with Opelousas Catholic and Sacred Heart which was fun but like Kinder we face all 5A and 4A teams during the regular season. I'm looking forward to this year too.

On the softball side Kinder returns 7 starters, which 6 of them have been starters for 3 years. There are 3 others that have quality playing time returning also. Looking forward to this year. Going to be a great battle between ND and Kinder. Both have outstanding pitching.

Do you have a kid playing or will you be the ump we need to be looking for to sling the trash talk at?🤣 I'd be lying to you if I told you how many starters we're returning. Some didn't always start but they did depending on the pitching rotation. I believe there's 5 Seniors and they all pitch. Heck almost the whole team can pitch if you get down to it. My son doesn't thou. He's a 16 y/o sopre and had never swung a bat or put on a glove til he moved here his 8th grade year. Gotta give the kid props for sticking with it. He's not a starter by any means but he holds his own. And luckily gets on base more than not. He'll stay in that box and take a 85mph fast ball between the shoulder blades and run to first like his life depended on it. And I'm just beaming like he hit a grand slam! Oh I can't wait. It's gonna be great

Welsh returns all starters and its top subs. I been waiting for Welsh to get it going in baseball. I knew it would only be a matter of time because Welsh and Kinder are 2 towns that are very much alike. They've been steadily improving and this could be the year they become a factor in 2A. District 6-2A could be super tough this year, maybe more than football.

Good I'm enjoying my new found rivalry in Notre Dame They make you pick your game up. In softball they played in the Championship Game last year, lost to Calvary. Lost 1-0 to Calvary in 9 innings. ND has the whole team coming back. 9 starters plus a DH.
