The final week of the regular season is upon us. For at least 3 teams, this is the final game of the season. Let's make 'em memorable.
Ascension Christian @ Slaughter Charter In their first year of varsity competition the Knights of Slaughter managed wins against Westminster and North Central. Not bad for a first-year program. The Lions had their 5-game winning streak stopped by Ville Platte, but they should bounce back for the season finale and keep Slaughter's win total at 2 for the season.
Ascension Christian 22 Slaughter Charter 14
East Iberville @ White Castle Both teams have improved this season, but the edge has to go to White Castle for speed and experience.
East Iberville 14 White Castle 35
Southern Lab @ Kentwood The much anticipated match-up to decide the 6-1A championship. The numbers show Lab with a distinct advantage. They've got size and numbers advantage over the Roos this season. While Kentwood can still match the speed of the Kittens, Lab will be playing for a little something more. it will take a huge effort from Kentwood to take victory this week even on their home field.
Southern Lab 25 Kentwood 20
St. John @ Ascension Catholic It's been a tough year for the Eagles and they'll need to play hard, mistake-free ball to even keep it close with the Bulldogs. I can't even make a prediction in this one. The guru in me sees a blowout on the horizon, but the fan in me wants to see the Eagles make one last shot at leaving their mark on the 2017 season. Unreasonable optimism wins out...

You’re definitely right Raven. We’re playing for Lab Pride.
