Its going to be De La Salle vs U-High in the dome. I haven't seen much of U-High but I have seen De La Salle and I honestly think they could beat anybody in the state regardless of classification. I'm not saying they will beat U-High but they have a good chance.

U-High has one of the best JR classes I have ever seen. Lead by Donald Bernaird, DT, and LeLand Jones, ATH. Their QB John McKernin is a beast as well. Don't want to take anything away from De La Salle, they are a hell of a team as well. I'm defently looking forward to that match-up.

U-High destroyed West Fel and De La Salle destroyed St. James, two very good 3A teams. It looked like we were playing a college team when we played U-High. I can't wait to watch these two powers play in the dome, gonna be a hell of a game.

This is the best team I have seen them with ! Their lines or stacked even second team, I think if lab doesn't have the sanctions well even with sanctions and has their QB and other 5 starters they beat them it was 8-0 LAB at half before backup QB throws pick 6! But Uhigh has definitely bought the city up they are loaded for next 2-3 years

Here is some info to chew on from CalPreps.
Louisiana State Rankings 1-5: #1 University Lab #2 West Monroe #3 De La Salle #4 Evangel #5 Curtis
Projecting matchups between those teams, all the games would be within 4 points. Here’s how the games are projected at this moment in time:
Evangel 21 WM 19 Evangel 21 U Lab 17 Evangel 22 DLS 20 Evangel 20 Curtis 14 DLS 31 Curtis 28 Curtis 28 U Lab 27 Curtis 28 WM 27 WM 31 DLS 30 WM 30 U Lab 28 DLS 31 U Lab 28
My take away from al this is that any of these teams could beat the other on any given night!

It's odd that they would be ranked #1, yet their own projections show them losing to the 4 teams ranked behind them... They are usually more consistent than that.

I’ve found that they very accurate in point spreads but when teams are that close, anyone can win.

Not sure how much money LSU puts into that school but must be nice to be backed by a major university in the 2nd biggest city in the state. But we'll have a much better idea of who would win after the Semi-finals are played. Their playing some common opponents.

My take away from this is that it's a bunch of BS. How can you rank the teams 1 thru 5, but then turn around and say your lower ranked team Can beat SITE your higher ranked team. This Makes no sense on any level. If you ranked a team higher than another then you must feel that the higher ranked team is better than the Lower ranked team and can beat them. How the hell can they rank ECA #4 and then turn around and say that they can beat your #1, #2, and #3 team?? How can your top ranked team lose to all the teams ranked below it. The order must be reversed 🤔🤔🤔

Going to be honest and not as a UHigh fan at all.
The team is flat out loaded. The class of 19 class is ridiculous. Biscuit, Rathcke, Coppola, McKernan, Harris, Harris, Slaughter, Clark, Constantin, Hollins, Tongue. All Division 1 likely power 5 guys and they play like it. Even Bonnette(LSU SID), makes plays.
They are built to beat any team, any class and i wouldn’t bet against them. I’ve said since the beginning of the year this may be the most talented junior class i had ever seen.
SCC and De La Salle will have their hands fulls with this team.

I mean naturally many faculty send their kids there but the tuition is either free or simple deduction. It’s the outside donations that UHigh gets for the school and athletics that sets them apart. All legal. And they will get you out of there if grades not to par. Two years in a row they got rid of there too offensive lineman

Figured it was more donations. LSU main use for U-high is for their Education Majors to get real teaching and/or coaching experience. Graduate students I think. Still being backed by the Flagship has to help with the donations part.

I just watched a couple of video clips of U Lab and they looked pretty darn good up front on the D-line.
You know what the say. Run the ball and stop the run.

That is exactly what they do. offense is power run play action, defense gets after you and 36 and 21 clean. Everything up. Very very tough to stop. West Fel got down very early but kept fighting but couldn’t get stops. West Fel speed gave UHigh some issues but just too strong

Personally, I think they are the best team I seen first hand in person this season(Zachary Game), If there is any kind of scheme or coach who can come up with something to beat UHigh this season, it would be Frank Monica from SCC who they have this week. They surprised alot of people going on the road last season and beating Notre Dame in the semis, but UHigh is a different animal this season and I except like many others, DLS and UHigh in the dome in a huge matchup in 2 weeks.

I always say, if your team is gonna win the defensive game every game & you can win the special teams also, you almost need no offensive production. If you can also win the turnover battle also, a team is almost unbeatable no matter what their offense does.

Lets be honest here. Nobody on this board has any idea how a U High vs. De La Salle game would turn out. There are no common opponents. They were both impressive in their OOC games. U High's might have been a little more impressive, but not by a lot. Those games were almost 2 months ago, and neither team has been stressed lately. Neither team has injury issues (that I'm aware of).
U High vs. De La Salle should be a great game. But I suspect that St. Thomas More and St. Charles both think that they have something to say in the matter.

Being a Personal Injury attorney on every billboard along I-10, I-12, I-55, I-49, Hwy 90, etc. makes you a dignitary or high ranking official? I’d tell you what I think it makes him but he’d probably sue me!
