Just checked the Baton Rouge Advocate for High School coverage & they had 4 good articles on teams and players from the Baton Rouge area teams. And it's just Tuesday!
All the Gannet newspapers seem to really suck and they never do these kind of articles. They barely cover the games....Geez!
But Kudos to the Advocate for a job well done.

Yes we have been truly spoiled by Will Weathers and in my mind the greatest Preps writer in the state the last 20 years Robin Fambrough! She is spectacular and truly dedicated to her work. Bewers with The advertiser is very dedicated as well. But they seem to be shifting to video. Trey Labat was fantastic as well but is now teaching

Great sportswriters from the Shreveport Times and Shreveport Journal were Jerry Byrd and Nico Van Thyne. Wow! Did they cover high school football great. Now your lucky to get a little game coverage the next day but never with box scores or stats hardly.

David Folse covers the St Tammany area very well too

Full Parish Power Rankings, Pick 'Em with old St Tammany grads (even has NFL players like Matt Forte, a Slidell High grad, show up), and overall good coverage of the top games.

I second the kudos for the Advocate and Robin Fambrough. She does a great job, and she doesn't slow down when football is over.

I Follow her on Twitter and most of her work. Does a great job!

Looks like nola.com asked him to cover the Easton vs Woodlawn game tomorrow and he accepted.
