Surely not! He was a good Christian boy brought up in a good Christian school and a good Christian program!! There's got to be some mistake!
( note the heavy sarcasm)

( note the heavy sarcasm) Sarcasm: the use of irony to mock or convey contempt. Yeah, I can definitely see that in your post. Bigotry, hatred, or intolerance? All those would work too. If you consider yourself a Christian, then hypocrisy would also apply.

I know everyone makes mistakes, but it is hard for me to understand how a big opportunity is wasted like that. Happens all the time though all over the country now.

It’s a good thing the police didn’t look further back into his history. He assaulted a lot of linebackers and DBs during his playing days at Calvary.

Orlando was always soft spoken and respectful. Never a “thug”. A humble guy. He obviously made some serious mistakes and wasted his talents and a chance at a free college degree. He’ll have the rest of his life ahead of him when he gets out. Hopefully he makes wise choices. He was an outstanding football player.

The circle comes around on everyone... Even you... I hope I'm there when it does. You are a mean vile judgmental person with ZERO insight into this young man as a Person, Christian, and Human Being. You have NO IDEA what you are talking about as far as facts into the case, what happened and how/why it played out the way it did. All you can do is what any other stupid nincompoop can do and howl from the cheap seats. One day something like this will affect you and the sorrow, misery, asking why and any other dread that is drudged up will come and feast on your soul. Enjoy your judgement. .

The judicial system just sentenced him to 5 years for physically assaulting not one, but TWO women.
How am I the bad guy here?
Stop your hero worship and worry more about what kind of kids you are using for their athletic talent!

I didn't realize coaches could foretell the future of young men and decide whether it's a good idea to let a kid play football. News to me.

Stop your hero worship and worry more about what kind of kids you are using for their athletic talent! You know nothing. Only what you have read. I'm not making excuses for the young man and I have no idea where you derived hero worship from at all. I personally think that he should have gone to trial. Many others did as well. However, he made the decision. I won't fault him for that. He'll pay his debt in prison. However, I'm not going to just sit back and let you throw shade on Calvary either. That is a lowlife move and you know it is. Any intelligent person can see what you are doing. You are a Calvary hater. Congratulations. Join up with the rest. The line forms to the left. You're the bad guy because you throw shade on his upbringing, his faith, and where he came from without knowing the young man at all. There is no statute of limitations on being a lowlife. .

I'm going on experience. Not a slight or disrespect against any of the football coaches or football teams from Many or Winnfield.

Wasn't this the same kid that stole a cell phone out of the purse of a teacher while at Calvary? The cops came to the school and picked him up for questioning but one of the coaches called and got the charges dropped. Oh yea...that did happen because it was on the schools camera system DVR. That is a fact! They let him slide with everything at Calvary!
