I am a parent. I won't put on the forum what they do. Coach John Parker is the most humble, Christian, and completely honorable person I know and anyone that knows him would say the same. He works to instill those same standards in his players. Are they perfect? none are. He has my utmost respect and for anyone to say anything otherwise either does not know him or is and an absolute fool. You sir obviously do not know him. Ha! I won't even give a reply to a guy that calls himself slappyshoeshine. Enough said! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

People with large minds discuss ideas, medium minds discuss topics and small minds talk about other people. I'll leave it at that for fear of joining you in the third category.

Looks like the two best teams will be in the finals in Div. 4. Congrats to Houma Christian for a great year. Thanks for the kind thoughts directed toward the Warriors, perhaps it will lessen the sting just a little bit. I personally feel like the two best teams in all of Class 1A, not just Division IV, played in the game between St. John & Houma Christian. We'll know for certain after the dust settles on Field #37 late on Friday night. Good luck to all of the teams & their fans during the games & I pray that everyone will be careful & stay safe on your return trip home.

Looks like the two best teams will be in the finals in Div. 4. Congrats to Houma Christian for a great year. That St. John vs HC game was a hell of a ball game all around. Looks like St. John got to their ace pretty good. A few base running mistakes, and a error and it could have been a different ball game. St. John with 2 HR’s and the HC catcher bouncing 2 off the wall. Great ball game. Good luck in the finals Thanks to you, as well, for the kind words directed toward the Warriors. It was a great game to watch because you knew that neither team knew the meaning of the word "quit" & that they would be battling to the bitter end. It was the type of game that was going to require a near perfect performance for either to emerge as the victor. I feel like we were watching the two best teams in all of Class 1A, not just Division IV, battling it out in the game between St. John & Houma Christian. We shall see late Friday night over on Field #37 after the St. John vs. Ascension Catholic game has been played out. Good luck to both teams & their fan bases. Be careful & stay safe on your travel back home.

I’m confused though. You said HC is not that good. St. John won on a bloop single right after a error. If HC isn’t that good, shouldn’t St John blow them out the water? The Pitcher was throwing meatballs, he gave up 10 hits to 5guys and really only 3 of those guys made solid contact. So what does that say for the rest of that lineup? They are just mediocre hitters also? Help me out hereI'd say giving up 10 hits is not that good. It was either meatballs or some good hitting. Either way, the pitcher DID NOT get the job done.

Coach Parker is a good guy. The problem is, he is surrounded by poison. His assistants are arrogant, cocky and need to turn in their baseball coaching cards or go back to Busch league. The players are extremely disrespectful. If you watched any of their games you would see that. They played dirty against Ascension Catholic in the semi's, I watched it with my own 2 eyes. The AC coach even turned around in the 3rd base coaching box and was like, "C'mon man, this is what yall have?". Examples: The catcher telling a batter to "go sit down Bi***" after he struck out. Another example is the 3rd baseman clearly getting in the runners path on purpose to slow him up or trip him. These kids are taught to do this by someone. Who is it??? I know the head coach is a stand up guy but his assistants are terrible. They team was also debating what color jersey's they would wear in the Championship game before they even played the semi-final game. That is a clear example of putting the cart before the horse. However, the cart stayed behind the horse and the Ascension Catholic team led them all game and never was in jeopardy of losing that game. That must have been really humbling for OC after talking all that smack talking and playing Busch League ball. But my guess is, they wore their practice jersey's on the way home on their charter bus right after cursing out some AC fans. Everything I just wrote is all FACTS not OPINIONS. If anyone approves of this behavior they exhibited on the field then you are just as bad. And yes, I would have to agree with the other post, it's a complete embarrassment.

I agree, one assistant coach at HC is less than professional. He must be a parent.

Hey, sportfanattic, what kind of a problem could you possibly have with one of the Houma Christian assistant coaches? None of the Houma Christian coaches have sons on the team & I really don't believe any of them are even close to being old enough to have any kids in that age group.

The Hispanic looking fella is the one I am referencing. He talks trash to kids that are coached not to get involved with shenanigans. He showed his true character at the VCHS game when the catcher hit a HR after walking intentionally walking Dugas.

HC should be very good next year huh whopper?!?!?!

Totally uncharacteristic of the OCS program. If what you said is true, (I have no reasons to discredit it) it sounds like Coach Parker has some house cleaning to do. I know the assistant coaches personally and have never known them to be anything other than good men. As far as figuring out what jersey to wear, I put that as kids being kids. There is a fine line between being cocky and confident sometimes the line is crossed. No excuse for a player to cuss another player though, I assure you that it is not a program taught situation. Totally the opposite actually, I know that for a fact. One thing I have faced on here is that fans of other schools hold OCS above all other programs and to heights that OCS could never succeed in accomplishing. I have had people yell at me in person about things that happened on the field regarding what they thought happened due to an OCS player and it be 100% the opposite yet, it was ok if their player did it. If an OCS player cusses they are a disgrace but, I have been on the sidelines listening to other teams berate OCS players constantly, talk about their Moms and what they will be doing to them after the game.. Yet, that's all ok.. I guess that's just how the world works though.

I was at that game and there was some confusion of some sort going on but I'm not sure what it was. OCS was shell shocked, I know that.
