Does anyone know why in Baseball the highest seed doesn't host in the final game before Sulphur? Correct me if i am wrong but isn't there a rule for football that says the semi final games will be highest seed at home regardless of the previous rounds? I noticed in 1A this year the top 3 seeds all have to travel in the quarterfinals. Considering baseball and softball are the only two sports where an advantage is given to the home team shouldn't the higher seed host?

Higher seed host in all two out of three series. I see that, but why not extend that advantage to the 1A, B and C. You work all year for your seed, then in the game to go to the state tournament, you have to travel. I believe in Softball it says the higher seed hosts all the time doesn't it? Why not add that rule to baseball

It's stupid. Higher seed should host in all sports, period!

If the seeds hold true all the way through then the higher seeds would always be at home. But it doesn't always work out that way. If a lower seed beats a higher seed then they deserve a home game. In football the higher seed should be and is home for the Semi Finals. By then everyone that's left has had at least one home game anyway. In baseball its already highest seed all the way in 5A-2A because of the 2 out of 3 rounds. 1A-C has byes so they run those brackets differently.

If a lower seed wins they are rewarded by getting to play another game.

Hope for 2/3s vote in favor of said proposal. 4. If said proposal should fail, wait a few years...re submit, then see step 3.

I agree top seed should always host no matter the class or division, No reason for a top seed ever to travel
