Kentwood, Merryville, and Delta Charter pull off upsets to earn their first trip to Sulphur. Kentwood probably had th most surprising win in that they destroyed #4 Logansport 18-4 on their own field. Delta Charter pounded #1 LaSalle 9-2 and Merryville just handled #3 Oak Grove 4-1. Grand Lake, last year's 1A Runner-up, has to be a big favorite to win it all now. So who had the biggest upset and who wins the State Championship ?

So who had the biggest upset and who wins the State Championship ? Nothing at all surprising about the Kentwood win. Logansport has been sub-par all year. Their coach is a joke. He allowed our starter to throw until it was 10-0......this is with 1 out in the 2nd inning. Then put in a kid who gave up 7 runs in 1/3 of an inning. It was awful. Next pitcher (my son) allowed 1 ER the rest of the game. It was hard to watch. Kentwood is so bush league that they were stealing bases up 15-0 in the 2nd inning |

Kentwood kids can hit a fastball but struggle mightily with the curve. Their slowest starter is probably the fastest kid on any other team. SS is an LSU football commit & a phenomenal athlete!

Oh my goodness. Merryville vs Delta Charter for the State Championship. This year the playoffs have been crazy.
