The Lockett kid wasn't recruited. I know the kid and his family. I coached him in pee wee football. 1. He left the Red school because he was called the N word by the backup QB and the principal and Coach did nothing about it. 2. The Coach don't give a damn about academics as long as you perform on Friday night. 3. The kid was told last summer after attending numerous college camps that he's very very talented but his High school coach is not teaching him anything. 4. LCA have one of the best Dline coaches around he have players at Alabama and LSU just to name a few .5. Trev takes his kids to camps all summer long to get them noticed. 6.The school and COACHES is all about academics first. 7. Go take a ride by LCA or catch a game and see the facilities they built and building you will know why kids or beating on the door trying to get in. This post made me do some research. The Lockett kid was recruited. He’s getting full tuition paid. I’ll respond to your numbers... 1. He didn’t leave CHS because he was called the N word and no one did anything about it. That’s true that it happened but it wasn’t school related so there was nothing for the school to do about it. Besides if that was the reason, why did his Mom go to CHS and say he’d stay if they gave him a free ride? They wouldn’t. He left. Nuff said. 2. The coach at CHS sure does care about academics. My own son played for him and it was one of the coach’s main concerns for all of his players during his entire time there. 3. I don’t doubt he was told at college camps that he was very talented. We’ll see how true that is when he gets on the field. I doubt he was told that his high school coach wasn’t teaching him anything. The CHS defensive line has a had great success with kids who play the way they’re coached. Lockett was moved to TE in the spring. It seems he wasn’t the D-line talent that you or those supposed college coaches think he is. 4. Who is the D-line coach at LCA who has players at LSU and Alabama? Who are those players? I won’t belive this until you name names. 5. Taking kids to camps to get them noticed is nice. Has Trev ever gone with a kid all the way to Chicago to help a kid land a scholarship? Indest has. 6. The school and coaches are so much about academics first that Trev isn’t even a faculty member. He’s not even listed as the head coach on paper because he can’t be. There are no academics at that school. Recently, when a parent asked the Pastor about academics while they were recruiting her son, the guy laughed and said that was the first time anyone cared about academics. He then simply responded they were fine. 7. I’ve seen the facilities. They’re nothing special. Kids aren’t knocking on the door to get in, kids are having their doors knocked on to get them in.

Dude how in the world you know if a family is paying tuition at another school. Lets talk about knocking on doors. The present QB at the red school was recruited there I was personally told that y'all coach was trying to get the running back from St Martiville to come there I was also told by family members. Then a certain someone who was coaching 2 brothers in travel baseball that was attending Nish offered to pay tuition and buy uniforms and this came from the fathers mouth. It don't matter if Trev is listed as custodian he still coaching the team and winning games. As for the Lockett kid he played better that the guy he was backing up last year. Every time he was in the games that I seen the announcer was spitting out his name left and right. I can remember the other 2 D-lineman Brown and Lanassa that third guy was a non factor. Indest must be friends with his dad. Indest went to Chicago for A kid you right(A) kid . I have more than a kid on his team a what year was this. Yes the Dline plays great. But they teach them only what they need to know to play in the red schools scheme. Take the to camp against a top Olineman he will eat that rip move up. I didn't say the Dline coach played at Alabama and LSU i said he coached kids that's there.

They led 14-8 in the second quarter and then it was all STM. Westgate run defense has been a problem. STM senior RB William Cryer carried 10 times for 269 yards and 3 TD.

YOU can put all the best travel football players on a team bring them to all the camps you want move , up to AA next year and start beating teams like ND,CHS,NEUMAN,CALVARY,RIVERSIDE,DUNHAM,AND NOT TO MENTION TEAMS THAT WILL MOVE UP LIKE MAYBE VC,SOUTHERN LAB AND PLAY SOME NON DISTRICT TEAMS AND PLAY UP LIKE TEURLINGS ,WESTGATE,BREAUX BRIDGE,GET THE POINT,WESTGATE HAS ALOT OF TALENT EVERY YEAR KIDS PLAYING COLLEGE,CHS IS 2 AND 0 AGAINST WEASTGATE , ND HAS SMASHED ALOT OF TEAMS WITH D1 TALENT I JUST DONT GET UR POINT ABOUT LCA,NEXT YEAR WELL SEE IF THEY CAN WALK THE WALK ,COOK AND INDEST HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO ACHIVE ALOT WITHOUT ALL THE D1 BOYS, SO LETS SEE NEXT YEAR HOW LCA SETS THERE SCHEDULE UP,IT TIME TO RESCHEDULE THIS YEAR, WILL THEY WANA PLAY WITH THE GREAT {DAMES} OR THE CHA-WOW-WAS OF THE DOG WORLD FOR NOW YOU TALK THE TALK!!!!! I haven't jumped on anybody on here concerning Westgate or any team. If you're looking for somebody to beef with, you're going to be disappointed because I'm not into that anymore.

CHS worry about what a kid can do for them. Westgate and all these other schools got D-1 talent and they going to school because the coaches care more about just winning. Lockett went to a school that can better prepare him for the future. Just like I watch CHS fullback put on a complete show against Newman. Kid must be about 160 built like a wide out. He runs so hard up the middle put his head down fight for yardage take big hits. That kid can score 5 touchdowns. They interview Indest Peter peter peter peter peter peter peter peter Amos Amos Amos Amos peter peter not one mention of Henry. Jason ran the wing T Patterson. ran the spread in High school who was the better passer when they both was at Ole miss. What Jason doing now?? I love watching Jason I had a very close relative play on the team with Jason when they went to state. I knew he wasn't going to make it as a QB in college not running the wing T in High school. Indest is a great coach he runs that wing T like no other.

This is America go to school where u want , make ur bed and lay in it, 1.3% of the kids go to highschool to play college football,HENRY will play college football if the grades are there, but cant hate Brent if a kid stays 4 years at CHS and doesn't get a offer, or doesn't learn his best position in THE WING T ,ITS AMERICA ,MAN THEY MUST LIKE HIM TO STAY AND PLAY WHEN THEY COULD LEAVE AND GO RUN A SPREAD SOMEWHERE ELSE,SHAE PATTERSON DID IT A FEW TIMES

He’s a great kid and my limited interaction with him was always positive. However, something is gonna have to change if he’s gonna make it to the big time next level. But the crap you’re spewing might work on the uninformed parents of the kids you are recruiting, but I know better. Tyler Shelvin and Tim Williams didn’t get recruited because someone developed them. They were recruited because they were exceptional athletes. Are you telling me that a coach made these guys, tall, heavy, strong and fast. Notre Dame has some of the best coached players in the state. They develop kids. But they don’t have many recruits. On the flip side, Westgate has D-1 athletes with offers and they ain’t coached worth a darn. If an athlete goes to a camp and has the measurables, he’ll get noticed and get offers. College coaches will develop talent. They won’t recruit developed players who can’t run out of sight or catch a cold. It’s that simple. The CHS D-line technique sure didn’t hurt Zion Hill. He was a beast and colleges noticed. Since you bring up Pellerin, playing in the Wing-T didn’t hurt his offers. If he didn’t develop further when he got to college, I suppose that’s the CHS coaches fault, huh? Heck, you talk about LeBlanc. He’s a receiver playing in a run offense and he’s got multiple offers. It’s talent that gets you were you’re going. Westgate has talent and LCA recruits talent. Then, because the coaches can’t point to their accomplishments on the field they talk about how their kids get scholarships when those get would’ve gotten scholarships no matter where they played. What really tells me how little you know, is you thinking that Henry should be a receiver. The kid is a natural running the ball. He can catch, but he’s not a receiver.

I said Henry was built like a reciever. Jason didn't develope because he was to far behind. All he did at CHS was hand off and throw to predetermine route runners.Peter is a SEC reciever the routes he run at CHS is basic. Zion I also think could play in the Sec. I watched a video of him at a rivals camp I think. The kid he was going against he was physically better than but the other kid was Technically sound and Zion couldn't beat him. What they teach them at CHS is perfect for what they do on defense but if you going try to compete against the best one on one no. Tyler is 6"3 372 you don't think it have kids that size size at small schools. Yeah size get you looked at,but if that's all you got. Tyler was developed at Northside from a freshman. Take you a trip to LSU or Alabama at watch the kids and you can see the kids that's just being coached to fit his schools system. And kids that being developed for the next level. Westgate kids are being developed individually. As a team no the head coach is horrible. No discipline at all. I didn't say Lockett will be all that. I'm saying if he wants to maximize his abilities he's at the right spot

My argument was about why a kid left not LCA Schedule or CHS. Let me ask you a question. Where are all the great black athletes that have past threw CHS besides Zion and Jason? Tyrone, let me start by saying that I sincerely hope that Lockett becomes what you think he will. What really tells me how little you know, is you thinking that Henry should be a receiver. The kid is a natural running the ball. He can catch, but he’s not a receiver. Great points. Tyler Shelvin committed to LSU before coming to ND. He was far from ready for the SEC on the field or academically. He came to ND for the academic part and to keep him from IMG. Kids are recruited on their athletic abilities, speed, and size not what offense or defense the high school he came from ran.

6-3, 372 is not a good thing. Lol... I just was telling him how big Tyler was. He said all you need is size to be recruited.
