1A has three teams from 1 district in Semis. WOW It's really not that impressive consider how weak and water down 1A baseball are. As for 2A it's very impressive because of how hard it is consider the level of talents and coaching are.

I've attached a spreadsheet with the full schedule for this years State Tournament. Great info right here. Do the records shown for each team include the games played in the playoffs thus far? Oh yea, even though I’m a “Red School” guy I want to wish Loreauville good luck. I’ve got nothing but love for the kids playing the game and want to see them be successful.

Only because a friends son is a senior on their team.

I was pretty sure we had a losing record going into the playoffs. You confirmed it. I know your friend and who his son is. I also know he's got another son at Loreauville middle school if I'm not mistaken. It's pretty cool that he let his boys decide where they wanted to go to school. The younger one didn't simply follow his older brother but picked Loreauville because he really liked the kids from Loreauville with whom he played travel ball. You guys have something special going on with youth baseball and that's to be commended. I know more than a few parents and kids in the High School program all the way down to the 5th grade. I'm happy for their success. As for today, I'm hoping for Loreauville, CHS and AES to be victorious. It would make 3 of the 4 finalists in 2A and Div III from the same district.

Not surprised we won but definitely surprised by the score. Figured Calvary Baptist would win. STA vs AES should be a great game. Welsh vs Doyle should be good too.

Next year, let’s meet in the finals with both teams healthy. Would have been nice to see Lavan and Washington battle on the mound, but both have been injured all year.

I've attached a spreadsheet with the full schedule for this years State Tournament. I'd post an updated schedule but nobody has a clue when or where the games will be played. One thing I'm sure the LHSAA never thought about is the players footing. Turf infield and grass outfield means the players are wearing regular or turf shoes instead of their normal spikes. With all this rain and slick fields, injuries may occur.

Gotta be on opposite sides of the bracket for once. The last 2 years are not the first time Kinder and Loreauville have met in the playoffs. We'll see though. Lavan is a Senior and so is one of our other pitchers. We gonna lose most of the infield but with all the injuries, younger players have gained experience. We should be good again though. Barring transfers or defections we'll return our whole outfield and our pitcher that started yesterday's game. Would like to see us meet in football too.

That’s right, Kinder knocked us out in the quarterfinals when Evan Hebert was our ace. Plus, Coach Kenny’s team knocked out my team in a Bronco District Tournament when some of our current juniors were 11. That was probably the most fun I’ve ever had coaching. Neither of our teams had any pitchers left, we were putting anyone on the mound and having a blast.

They have been playing the championships in Sulphur for about 8-9 years now with the same set up and there are similar set ups with turf and grass in other fields throughout the state that HS games are played..... as well as multiple tournaments at the same complex in Sulphur. While it's a minor issue at any park in America that plays on this type field, it's not a significant issue.

Softball does it, only person that does not wear spikes is the pitcher.

Really good group, we’ve always had extremely good baseball players but never had a team for the school in Kentwood until a few years ago. Its good for any school to have a successful fall and spring program. Love to see new baseball/softball programs have early success. It usually draws more interests from the student body and can get more players to go out for the team. Should be a good game against Oberlin.

This is true, now hopefully most of the kids that actually live in city limits start coming to Kentwood now instead of sumner and oak forest, that would boost us a lot
