The most interesting part of that document shows that at almost a 2 to 1 ratio, public school coaches favor some type of split. Also, assuming you are the creator of the document, why do you feel it is "the right thing" for select schools to play in the dome?

Indy- you miss the point. Your looking at it in terms of the select/non-select. Every kid deserves the chance to play in the Superdome. 99% of the kids surveyed thus far want to play the best and play in the dome. It’s the adults that fear failure; not the kids.

The kids were brainwashed with the glory of the golden dome as the prize. The lhsaa whores out the kids for money. They lost sight of the fact they are representing their school playing for a championship. “The Dome” caused the split with animus, jealously, and greed. Yes, the boys at ND are disappointed that they won’t have a chance to play in the dome but they are working just as hard to win a CHAMPIONSHIP. In 10, 20, 40 years it won’t matter where they played, what will matter is that they gave it their all and won a championship for themselves and their school. The dome was never “about the kids” it was about the lhsaa using it as a fishing lure to catch kids and parents and make money

He's one of the most respected coaches in the state.

If people in charge really cared, they would get the state involved and either move the games or get the Dome to quit charging an insane amount to play the games there. If the Dome doesn't charge close to a million dollars for the weekend, then you don't have sponsors telling you how to run your organization.

That should be the state’s, and the Benson’s, gift to all the young men who earned a trip to the championship game. The dome should make its money off of parking, concessions, and suite sales.

What do you expect when you have self serving s who idolize the dome negotiating with with professionals? Seriously do you expect anything different?

Now this is a post. Sorry, EVERY KID does not deserve to play in the dome. ONLY those that compete and win at the highest level deserve the change to play in the dome. For your statement to be correct then EVERY KID would have to get a chance to play in the doom and we would have to play multiple games from all classes during the season starting in week one to make sure EVERY KID gets what he deserves. The chance to play. What about those on the bench? They may never get a chance to play simply being denied by the coach. So you would have to make the rule that every kid on every teammust play (get into a game) in every game for the chance to play. Or at least every kid would have to go in for at least one down for that chance to play even if he is injured and physically unable to participate. He deserves that chance!!!!!! Absurdity to illustrate absurdity.

Also, assuming you are the creator of the document, why do you feel it is "the right thing" for select schools to play in the dome? No it does not, it shows that 22% of all coaches and administrators finished the survey, and that those who did finish the survey by 2 to 1 favor a split. And you could say that a 22% participation rate is rather abysmal and puts the accuracy of the survey into serious doubt. Also, it is specious because you do not know if certain members within a single school stuffed the ballot box. There are not 5092 schools in the LHSAA, yet they sent out this many surveys. So was this survey skewed by on group over the other unfairly. Is there specific identification of the respondents or simply by return of email addresses with out an real control over who filled out the survey?

Not that every kid was ENTITLED to run on the floor of the dome, but that should after 14 weeks the athlete and his team achieved a certain level of success, that they would be able to play in the dome just like other athletes who achieved the same level of success.

Every now and then NOLA public schools have played there.
