Were there any high school games today anywhere in the state? I believe Byrd played today but not sure who. Lots of cars at LSU-S |

My favorite time of the school year!!!!!! The smell of fresh cut grass, pinging of the bats, crowds supporting their teams and that good ol concession stand food!!!!!

Umpire training scrimmage held at McMurry Park in Sulphur yesterday, 6 games...the match ups were Welsh vs Grandlake, South Beauregard vs Rosepine, Kinder vs St. Louis, DeQuincy vs Iowa, Sam Houston vs DeRidder, and Sulphur vs Leesville. With it being only the first week of practice, I was very impressed with how far along some of these programs were as far as game readiness...should make for some good baseball in SWLA this year!

North Webster visits North DeSoto Thursday February 11th at 5:00. Gonna be a great day for baseball. Weather is gonna be awesome!!! Come out and support!!!

North DeSoto played North Webster last night. Both teams showed good sportsmanship. Very competitive game. North Webster has some very good arms and are aggresive on the bases. North Desoto threw 7 guys in the 7 inning affair. North DeSoto bats woke up in the 4th. Wishing the best of luck to both teams in the upcoming season.

Airline beat Northwood (Shreveport) 25-0 yesterday. Vikes might be pretty decent this year.

North DeSoto freshmen beat Captain Shreve freshmen 11-2 Saturday.
North DeSoto JV beat Captain Shreve JV 4-3 as well!
