“When” the season starts, will there be fans allowed at the games? Is it an LHSAA decision or a local school board decision?

“When” the season starts, will there be fans allowed at the games? Is it an LHSAA decision or a local school board decision? I’d assume that if football is played in the fall fans would be allowed, I would expect them to be socially distanced but allowed and also a smaller amount of tickets. Would be interesting to see how many could fit, plus dancers and band. Masks required and distanced i believe. If any allowed.

Probably be more like watching a tennis match than the exciting football games we are used to seeing.

It will be a local decision about fans. I expect fans to be allowed with a protocol. The money from the gates is the lifeblood of the football programs across the state.

Yeah i figure theres a bunch of athletic directors who are sweating right now. Football gate is probably 70% or more of their operating budget

my case is this if your too scared and worried about getting Covid then dont show but dont take away the liberty of others that actually want to watch and not scared to be out in public. I mean if the mask and all works so well i dont see why not. Didnt affect all the riots going on so why should it affect my time at a football game or other events. Just my take on it.

Not so sure it will be a "local" decision. While I don't think an athletic association would have the power to put such restrictions, our neighbor to the east just had their Governor restrict events to 2 fans per participant.

I believe that is only through August 31 with most of the MHSAA’s opening games on September 4. Now, that doesn’t mean that he won’t extend it.
