Shelvin would have probably been better off coming back. Hopefully it works out for him but hes had trouble keeping the weight off and staying conditioned in the past.
Hate Chase is leaving but cant blame him.
I personally think Shelvin opting out is a bigger blow than Chase considering the talent LSU has at WR and TE.

Chase had nothing to gain and everything to lose.
Shelving had nothing to lose and a LOT to gain. I think he mad a bad decision, but I hope it works out for him.
Marshall is going to step up big this year. And McMath has the ability to be big in this offense.

I think Shelvin should’ve stayed, but I think Chase is the bigger “loss” of the two. Shelvin has been a relative no-show since he’s gotten on campus. Losing the best WR in college football is tough to overcome, even with the talent we have in Baton Rouge.
