Brad,
The vote did not pass through, so it will be the same as the past few seasons, 20pts for a win and so on.

Brad, The vote did not pass through, so it will be the same as the past few seasons, 20pts for a win and so on. the new formula passed in 2016 to take effect in 2017, but the vote two weeks ago was effective immediately, so 2017 will be played under the same rules as the last few seasons like "how did that 9 become a 2?"

like "how did that 9 become a 2?" No, the questions were actually valid, its all based off of coaches and how some districts and its by-laws are different. Some districts choose that if a game is rained out with a district foe, it doesn't have to be made up. Others, have in its by-laws that it MUST be made up by the last playing date of the season , so you had some schools questioning how it would help others to not have to play a mediocre team who will kill your power rating, versus teams who must play that opponent. Majority of coaches still questioned how the new formula will adapt to that.

that's something you take up at the LHSAA level... make some rules that are currently governed by district bylaws uniform throughout the entire association... have schools not learned to schedule games they need to play in the middle of the season, as opposed to the end? then leave days open near the end to make up rainouts? the last week, schedule non district games that you don't care if they get rained out?
