I'm interested in knowing how those transfers last season (during the season) are progressing since their arrival, and also if they will contribute this season.
Any other "transfers" come in recently?
How are the Eagles looking heading into next season?
Can they overcome last year's monumental underachieving season?

Putting the word "transfers" in quotation marks indicates you think they were something other than transfers. Can you explain?
B. Rebuilding
C. How many schools in Louisiana can you name that lost by eight points or less, playing their worst game of the year and giving up a late lead in a semi final playoff game loss to the eventual state champions, who would consider their season to be monumentally underachieving?

Naw, ain't no connotation involved man. Just quotes so you know who I'm referring to man. Evangel is clean as a CDC HIDL(Highly Infectious Disease Lab) I was told all last preseason that that particular Evangel team was gone be an all-timer in LA. A squad that would rank with WM 98' and Ruston 90' squads as one of the best ever. That was a let down however you slice the loss of rushmorific proportion brother. It is the Mt Rushmore of upsets. Just my two cents.

Isn't anyone going to tell us about the North Desoto players or do I need to call the field house and ask them myself?
I'd rather hear it here from some Evangel coaches myself personally. I know they roam this board.
I have two cents for some information.

Like I stated way back when it happened, these guys wouldn't contribute very much for a couple of years. It was a dad that coached these kids growing up, and he was tired of the "daddy ball" at North Desoto, or so it was said. These kids MIGHT contribute at some point at Evangel but they would have played way more had they stayed put.

Please don't take this as a pissing match, as this next text is not about that, but you are putting a lot of focus on kids transferring in to boost your program? Who are the kids that have been in the program since junior high that will contribute this year significantly for the program? Is this an unsual year for transfers that would be different and how many kids does Evangel have on their team this year? Obviously people outside of Evangel don't know much about them in a personal regard, so please inform us on who we need to look out for contributing or coming in I guess you would say that should contribute.

Give me a break! West Monroe pointed fingers at Evangel for YEARS. They know how to create a "toxic fire storm" better than anyone.

West Monroe never gave a darn about what any school private did ............ until Evangel started kicking their butts.
Then they started pointing fingers at Evangel ....... even while they were pursuing Brady James, Cam Robinson, et al. Back in the day, Sixpack coined one of my all-time favorite phrases, "Rent-a-Rebels".

I don't think it was getting beat as much as it was getting beat by a school that only had 150 or so kids in it. I believe that speaks for itself and the LSHAA agrees.

Also there we many principals that voted the split in. If memory serves and I could be wrong the Principal at Ruston pushed the split.

I would personally like to play everyone. Big ones line up little ones bunch up. However, I don't have any stroke on the subject. Getting beat once in a while is not the end of the world.

More hyperbole from public school hacks. I am pretty sure they would close the doors if they only had 150 students. I think they hovered around the 400 mark around the time they were playing the Rent-a-Rebels.
The only thing the public school dominated LHSAA agrees on is that they are going to do what is best for public schools. They wanted 5 public school State Champs each year ....... so they made it happen.

Same thing 150, 400, little difference. They gathered up the best players they could find, went out and played everyone they could play and said look at us we are special, our little school beat the big dogs. And you still think that was something special. Private school hyper-bole.

A tiny school doing everything necessary to build a football powerhouse good enough to beat some of the best big schools from all over the country all the while playing within LHSAA rules. You better believe that is special.
Now, if they had broken the rules they were given to play under or if they had failed to build success playing within the rules then you could say it was not special. But that's not what happened. There is no way you can say what Evangel built was not special.

It's the part about playing within LSHAA rules that is the root of 20 years of discussions and an eventual split. Just because nobody had the resources or inclination to investigate and interview everyone that was ever associated with e doesn't mean it was all legit.

Really? Where did you go to school to learn that?
You just repeated a common public school myth, because it sounded good? I am not prone to exaggeration but if I exaggerated like you just did then I could have said that Evangel had 1,066 students. Does that sound like a "little difference" to you? It is the exact same ratio you exaggerated by.
They gathered up the best players they could find
More hyperbole and an often repeated public school myth. They did not "gather up" anyone. Everyone that went to Evangel chose to go there. If anyone gathered up students it was the public schools. The draw a circle on the map and everyone in the circle is forced to go to a certain school ....... just like herding cattle to a pen.
look at us we are special, our little school beat the big dogs.
The first time I heard that phrase about the "big dogs" was when Evangel showed up to play the Rent-a-Rebels in the Dome in '99. The Rebels had put up signs that said "Welcome to the Big Dogs" and "Time to play with the Big Dogs". Evangel never used that phrase, it was public school hacks like you.
And you still think that was something special. Private school hyper-bole.
I don't recall saying anything was special, please show me where I did. And after you go find out what it means ....... I dare you to show me where I used any hyperbole.

Your dodging the point. 150 or 400 you should not be beating a 2000 kid enrollment with excellent coaching. So with 400 kids you have a really good football team and 8 members in the band. Everyone could see this but their fans who chose to ignore it because they were winning. For my part, I couldn't care less what the private schools do anymore. I just Don't understand all the whinning when you did it to yourselves.

I did not dodge anything, that is just one more thing you have gotten wrong. I simply pointed out the inaccuracy of your post.
If getting beat by a smaller school bothered the Rent-a-Rebels so much ........ then why did they schedule Haynesville during that period? If I am not mistaken, they also lost to Haynesville ..... but wait you said a small school should not beat a 2000 kid school with excellent coaching. Seems you got another thing wrong.
The private schools did not do anything to themselves, it was the jealous public school principals that have lead us to last in education every year.
If you do no care about the private schools, why do you keep posting about them?
