Was told WM is headed back to the triple option this year.
Not sure whether this is temporary situational formations, but sounded as if it will be used a lot as a staple for the season.
Guess that spread really isnt working as they planned. Kahmann, as the good movie says, GET OUT. Go find a place to use your skillset. Head back to Kansas if you must. A dead blame shame the amount of money and the facilities out there and they cant take advantage of his skills.
Was told turmoil is real. No matter how it is sliced here. Lot of upset folk over Garvin.

I guess its the finally trick before they're bought out to exit the building. Its just time for a change hopefully GK parents do what's best for him. I was really high on that JV squad last year. It's all broken up. Im at the practices looking at the 5'6 receivers like who the hell think they are the Patriots! To make matters worst the JV scrimmage the freshman. Now how is that getting Jv ready for varsity.

Yes, the two folks i talked to too are DIE HARD Rebel fans bigger than anyone on this board. Many fans are ready for change. Doesnt matter what a few here say, it is a real desire among many for the entire staff to be replaced. I cant believe they cant seem to develop an outside 6'2-3" receiving threat like other schools. Seems ridiculous from the outside looking in. Maybe some of these excuse makers here on this site should apologize to you as you were right on the money before anyone here about what was going down out there. You should b3 commended and not ridiculed. You brought substance instead of BS.

I know how most feel because they tell me these people shall 4ever remain nameless. I going to say this Kauhman will try to be a team player, but the clock is ticking. Them making him a promise on starting varsity basketball is all the hat is hanging on. Kids arent build like we were put together. Lifting all that weight is pulling and fracturing bones.

The season is about to start imo this is not the time to create division and strife. I think we need to get behind this team and support all of them coaches and players alike. This will sort itself out as most disagreements do. Coaches bad, players mad daddy upset moma wants the kid to play soccer. He is going he is staying. If you love the Rebels as i do and support them as much as i do you probably will agree with me. If you do not like this team then you will continue to post negative comments. Sure i am concerned all my kids graduated from this school three played sports. Many fine and gracious people are there and I know many of them. I pray for all concerned that this will be ended and this team can pursue their dreams of a great season..

I can hardly comprehend what you guys are trying to say!First..what is a die hard fan bigger than anyone on this board mean?Does this mean that he is fatter than anyone else on this board?Or maybe he/she is taller than anyone on this board? Please clarify what you mean for the readers here!Secondly, what does lifting all that weight is pulling and fracturing their bones mean? Are the WM players getting injured by lifting to much weight? What do you mean by this statement....just trying to understand.

That wm program hasn't been the same since shows left. Like or hate shows you never had all that drama when he was there. That program needs a take charge kind of coach.jerry is a nice guy but he just doesn't have that it factor like shows had

I am not in the inner circle but I don't think they are going to abandon the RPO. If I was a defensive coordinator I would rather prepare to defense the RPO than the RPO and the Triple Option. You take a team like Zachary that does good film study, it would give them a lot more to prepare for in one week.

Did you attend the game tonight? No. Why can’t the triple option work? Strategically speaking That 1 TD Jones scored tonight is why against a team that's way down this year. Ask coach to see the film. And study it you'll find your answers.

You said that the option won’t work. Why? Go to the John Ehret game Starks gonna answer your question. Plus in order for it to work you must have a great full back. News flash Mr. Stuck in the past the fullback position is extinct. Unless your sterlington and who taught them their weight room program and offense. Answer that?

Do you know why they call it a “pro style” offense?? Ol John Curtis Christian sure makes it look like the option game is alive. Problem is; fans(and apparently coaches) like yourself lack the patience that it requires to see it through. That’s why good option coaches are AMAZING coaches. They don’t require all the flashiness that you apparently long for

Of coarse it will work against most in state teams hell they're very formular with each other. You go ahead and stay in 1979 im going to use my gas grill and get her done. I would bet my last dollar that you hated the internet when it 1st was introduced. Now look at you in love with it.

Unless your sterlington and who taught them their weight room program and offense. Answer that? This statement proves just how much of an you truly are. The fullback position is not extinct, nor is the triple option. The I-formation and fullbacks are still seen in the NFL and college. Also, the "spread" has turned from a throw-it-every-down offense into using the vaunted "H-back" to run power football from spread formations - the H-back is just a fullback that will occasional slip out into the flats or hook up to replace dropping linebackers. The zone read that's the basis of almost every spread running game is a double option - some teams even have a slot run a bubble route to turn it into a triple option where the bubble is in place of the pitch. Run-Pass Option stuff that's all the fad now is just the spread offense's newest answer for implementing triple option. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Georgia Tech have been running the Flexbone triple option successfully in college for decades - all are solid programs. All offenses are good when coached well and executed correctly by the players - it's fans such as yourself that have deluded the common population to think that the spread is the only type of football that can win.

Last two out of state games, they are 1-1. The team from last year, Grayson, also beat Hoover. You familiar with what Hoover runs offensively?? Prior to that, they played Shades Valley in BOB & beat them. What does that have to do with the fact that they have played in the Championship game for the last 5 years straight??? Would you argue that the offense isn’t working & outdated, knowing that information? If Sterlington hadn’t done what they had done against Madison Prep with the option.....& Curtis wouldn’t have won about 20 rings since 1979, you’d be a lot closer to a valid point. As it is, you’re just showing that the only football you know is done with a PlayStation controller

You cant win a college national championship game with a damn option. Most of you Louisiana people are still living in the past.

You cant win a college national championship game with a damn option. Most of you Louisiana people are still living in the past. Army is a rock solid team, and Navy and Ga Tech has pushed into the top 25 several times in recent years. The military academies rely on veers and misdirections because weight requirements and training keep their linemen undersized compared to most other D1 programs. Paul Johnson chooses to recruit these smaller linemen due to the value of quickly getting to the second and third levels. And your assertion that the option can’t win championships is false. Oregon under Chip Kelly came close running his Option offense, which is just a modified wishbone offense. Urban Mayer also runs triple option from his offense, which is a modified Wing-T. Schools in Louisiana who run the Veer today are some of the toughest teams in the state, hello John Curtis and Acadiana. You know why? Because no one else runs it because it’s not flashy like the modern Air Raid and RPO, which EVERYONE runs now. Small schools tend to stick with the Wing-T due to its low difficulty to teach and adaptation to personnel. The triple option offenses can make a comeback if fans and kids would stop being so impatient and learn what option football is. The Veer is devastating when run right.

I am probably just feeding a troll whose football experience is limited to Madden and TV pundits, and deductive reasoning skills were forged by "Blues Clues" but you do realize that football schemes are not like technology. "New" is not inherently better. The nation's HS football scoring record is held by a team that ran the foot to foot, "football in a phonebooth" double wing offense. What exactly did you google regarding GT and the academies? While it is irrelevant to the discussion of schemes, all 4 have over .500 record as institutions. Also, as GUNSLINGER pointed out, the current offensive trends of zone read, and RPO (which continue to befuddle TV announces who fail to recognize what is happening) are option based. Just in a different direction. Why exactly do you think a google search would provide accurate and definitive information regarding H Backs and Fullbacks when both terms are and positions are going to be used differently by different coaches in different schemes? I would say that having a larger sized player whose role is to insert somewhere along the line (creating an extra gap) and catching shorter/mid range passes primarily between the numbers or in the flats is basically the same position. Essentially an H back is simply a player who is aligning at the snap in a location that the FB could be after taking a few steps post snap.
