Did I hear the Leesville/Peabody score correct? Something like 35-0? I think it was 7-0 when I got to the parking lot. By the time I made it into the stadium it 28-0. The ASH student section gave it to Peabody good after the game. No love lost there.

Calvary 21 Rayville 7
As was said in The Waterboy “OH NO WE SUCK AGAIN!” Ol maybe not suck but not as good as we should be with this group of kids. That was a ugly win by the cavaliers. Calvary should be good this year but the new offense was not good. Defense did look stout but offense gave me a headache. One time on 3rd and 5 the coach called a Hail Mary type play???!!! Not the Calvary of a few years ago anymore or even last year when offense lit up scoreboard!!

Central 14 St Amant 7
Central QB is pretty good. Junior Sam Kennerson. Not a big guy, but quick and elusive runner.

WM great def. the Off. was sloppy and it showed. Takes the Rebels a couple of games to get better. Better get better quick with John Ehret coming to town next week.

Nice 1st post!! what do you think is wrong? i mean calvary scored 21 in one quarter and sat on it in the 2nd quarter but please let us know what should have been done differently because those basic plays calvary ran didn't put up any points did they?

ASH 17 Franklin Parish 7. ASH scored on first 2 drives with big runs from the QB's. FP dominated after that, gaining more yards and running 3 times as many plays QB LT Major had 100 yards passing and 130 yards rushing. The nose tackle for ASH is a beast. Both teams are going to be pretty good this season. You always talk up LT..never talk up any of those other kids

Kentwood’s speed and physicality was a lil too much Is Kentwood that great or do you thing St Helena lost something from last year ,because the had alot returning. I expected St Helena to be a serious top 5 in 2A. St Helena lost the coach and all of the skill guys including qb who was a 3 year starter I believe. That’s why I was wondering why they were expected to be so good. They’ll be taking a gigantic step back

Evangel people won't admit their offense isn't very good. And Union is always tough. They didn't lose anything from last years team that had freak defensive backs. Glad calvary has them at home this year. Last year we got hosed by the refs on a 4th down call and they know it

Jeremiah Fletcher set up the offense with several fullback dives for around 40 yards or so. He is about 230 lbs and a load. He wears down the D line. The half backs, Curt Shaw and Steph Hardin had several good runs. And, receiver Carter Banks had a couple of good catches. TE Roderic Bingham 6'3" 230 was a physical presence blocking and in the passing game. Whew that the offense.

Last year we got hosed by the refs on a 4th down call and they know it Do you really expect anyone to come on here and talk smack about their own team? that said, as a former "Evangel people", I won't say their offense isn't very good. I will say that in order for an offense to not be very good, they'd have to have an offense first. I think ECA is still relying on their defense to keep them in games; because it will work on most of the run of the mill teams.

Also I was impressed with how Caldwell played. They were much better than I had been told by experts. I'm not ready to put a number on how many wins, but ya'll will make other teams work for it.
