I watched this game, Doyle is no doubt the team to beat in 2A. Don't say that in front of Many they had the best football team ever in Louisiana, the basketball team was supposed to win state but got beat by a nobody, the baseball and softball team could win the world series, the ping pong team beat Forrest Gump and I heard the youth hockey team annihilated the mighty ducks. 😂😂😂 |

Got to watch Doyle and Kinder this weekend. Doyle is better than advertised. Kinder has a long road. Probably middle of the pack 2a. Hopefully I'll get to watch some more 2a publics. Dunham is getting it together. St. Charles is a very tough team with no quit.

LCA suffers their first loss of the season tonight losing to Grand Lake 2-1
Miles Justin went 6 and struck out 15 but the Knights made a big error allowing the winning run to score in the bottom of the 6th.
The Grand Lake pitcher (sorry, don’t know his name) went the distance and struck out 11 of his own.
Well pitched game.

West Ouachita heads to Red River tomorrow. They are 7-0 and we have had some struggles this year. Should be a test for both teams. Anyone know anything about Red River?

Any other year I would expect the game to be over when ya'll got tired of scoring runs. But, they seem to be getting much better. They have a couple of young kids that are solid ball players |

WO won 20-4. A lot of those runs were from stupid errors. Red River is really improved. Game should have been a lot closer than the score shows. Either way we are proud of this team. Still a lot of tough games to go but we will just keep learning and getting better.

I can tell you that us Winnfield fans have gotten accustomed to watching great ball by our boys over the last few years and this year has been really tough to watch so far. Can be hard to stay positive but I’m going to try my best to watch the games with the same perspective you have for your team. |

LCA beat Crowley Thursday night (4-1), Vermilion Catholic (4-1) Friday night, and Bunkie today (3-2) to move to 10-1 on the season.
Still don’t hit well but pitching continues to be really good.

Knights move to 11-1 with their 5th shutout of the season. They’ve only given up more than 2 runs once all year (a 5-3 win).
4 games this weekend in their own tournament before things get real against Notre Dame next week.

Kinder was able to avenge one of their losses yesterday by knocking off Iota 4-3. They are now 6-9. They have a 3 game set against Iowa this weekend before starting district next week against Pickering.

Went and watch Rosepine vs Sulphur last night, Rosepine gave the Tors all they wanted until the 6th inning, Ethan Frey hit an inside the park homer off the center field wall in the 1st inning.. Rosepine is still strong and very much a contender for state, Sulphur won 8-3.
DeQuincy’s bats finally woke up this past weekend in the Many tournament beating Natchitoches Central 8-6 and Anacoco 3-2 but lost to Northwood-Shreveport 6-4, we also beat Many 5-4 on Monday and have the South Beauregard Tournament starting tomorrow.

Looking like Doyle and Rosepine are by far the best 2a teams. Kinder will be there in the end looks like they have played a really hard schedule. Still have half a season to play interesting to see how things finish

If the Fawcett kid really is upper 80s like I’ve heard, they are going to be a tough out for anyone. |

They have beaten Acadiana (twice), North Vermillion, St. Louis, Kinder (destroyed), Brusly, Breaux Bridge, Catholic High-NI. Lone loss was to a quality Iota team. Their schedule is one of the toughest in the state for 2a at the moment. Tough test this weekend with a 3 game set against Rayne and then next week against LCA. Don't sleep on the Pios. The pitching staff is Senior heavy with 2 great lefties and a hard throwing righty.
