Madison Prep is gonna ravage next season. Lord have mercy they are loaded. Strong program with A LOT of young talent who’ve been waiting their turn. It’ll be interesting. This senior class started with Coach Williams as freshman. He told them then that they would be the class to bring home a state championship. They set the tone and the young guys are following it to the letter.

Madison Prep is gonna ravage next season. Lord have mercy they are loaded. I saw LCA play them in JV this past season. They have some serious size coming up. And QB Zeon Criss is a star. I’ll be surprised if they don’t win at least one more state title in the next 2 years.

Let’s remember that Church Point, which most certainly draws its players from a small, sparsely populated area, took Madison Prep to the wire.
The Bears were in the red zone but couldn’t cash in on the winning score in the waning minutes.

Unfortunately, it seems as if hardly anyone really "knows" how most of these schools operate relative to other schools though.

But truthfully, MPA had key players on offense & defense out with injury that game. They were at full strength for Union Parish and we all see how that turned out..... I’m from Acadia Parish and CP and that Wing-T has always been tough to stop. I don’t know much about how many are returning, but they will be a “problem” next season. Definitely.

what people are missing with the "non open admission" non select schools, yes they are below 25% outside of zone attendance. However, one thing the LHSAA should look at is in the number or % of those outside of zone students are athletes. While 10 kids may not make a big difference in 5A or div 1 as you go down in class it makes a HUGE difference. If 50% of your athletes at a lower classification school are coming from out of zone that is a huge huge disparity.

I am not certain as to the exact wording of the rule, but it would be seem fairly stupid to NOT directly tie in the number of out of district to the number of athletes. As we have seen though, there are many stupid things when it comes to HS sports.

Iota is not far behind. You can’t blame families for choosing what they think is the best choices for their kids but the small community schools are not really communities any more. One good thing is none of the parish coaches and principals can point the finger at ND anymore. They are pointing at each other now.

There is a great deal of truth to this. Also, I would suggest that most of the teams in that handful don't operate like traditional neighborhood schools, whether they are classified select or non select. I believe that is actually the biggest issue. Not "the split" but rather how schools are classified in the split. I honestly think that many more would be OK with a split if it did indeed separate schools that only have players living within certain boundaries vs schools with various degrees of open enrollment and created two different classes. What it seems to have done though is separate private schools and a few publics that have open enrollment from OTHER publics with some open enrollment benefits and traditional neighborhood schools. it’s all about the 25% living out of zone to still be nonselect. That number is way too high; For a 5A school, that’s hundreds of kids. Even in a class C school, that’s enough kids to bring in a whole basketball team. The number needs to be 5% or lower Isn’t a zone a zone? Isn’t the ability to get students out of your zone make you select? Excepting 5% means denying others, isn’t The ability to except and deny enrollment put you in select? One student can make a difference, ask Jennings how they would have been without the Etiens, or ask Welsh how much better they would have been if they played where they were zoned for?

Now I’m a supporter of the Pios because family and friends went there and or have kids that go there so I’m not gonna beat on their program like you do others, but you continue to beat a dead horse till he’s in the ground and risen up around Rayville somewhere. I will give you credit your knowledge of a lot of things is 100 percent on point but you clearly continue to add the same quotes and whatnot that put a dark cloud over your intelligence, continue to do what you want and feel, but remember don’t get upset when someone here gets tired and throws all this back in your face (and you know exactly where I’m coming from) I’ve learned from reading just about all your quotes and comments that it doesn’t pay to bash the 💩out of you. Your like crabgrass you get cut and just keep growing back. Later ✌️🙌

They have more out of parish students than ND, I find that hard to believe but I’ll stop right there. Hey look you know I have ties to the 3 highest people at that school. It’s ok your still at the top in football. Let your ill feelings toward them go😂😂😂

Well I was thinking, ONLY THINKING, they need to go to the division lll ranks after they been dominating the lower ranks for a few years but take a look at a lot of their games in the playoffs, about half of the teams they beat others have done just as equal, another 25 percent they barely won, then the other 25 percent the opponent had them beat but lost at the end. I’m talking about in this non select group too. They’re good Prep but from what I’ve read in the papers several playoff opponents had them beat but lost when the buzzer sounded. So as moving them over to the select group nah, it’s all about holding the lead on them. No offense but Northwest girls, St Martinville Boys, Church Point/ Union football should be champs in their respective 3A sports. Congrats to Madison Prep, their the program that never gives up and has what it takes to control of the game and come back and win. All it takes. Go Chargers.

If I was running Notre Dame I’d disown you😂😂😂 What you need to do is take your Deranged Mental Sickness issues to these places and say that to them what you say about them on here. I’d love to have a front row seat. Take Care and have a blessed day

People getting tired of this I have Kinder people asking me who is this Indy from Notre Dame, your lucky I am not the kind of person to tell them who you are if I know you anyway. I’m not a dirty person like that. Getting back to your sick deceiving issues, you said a few years ago they need to pave 35 south for all the kids from CP to ND. So which is it. Like I said your knowledge of football on here is no more credible anymore because of your senseless bellyaching crying about stuff you have no control over but you might want to stop because the wrong person will figure it all out.
