The 3 onside kicks hurt W.M. in the 3rd Qtr. Yes, this among a few other things. All three recovered onside kicks bounced perfectly to their 6'-6" receiver. All three looked identical. It was amazing. Both ejections will be appealed and won after film is reviewed. |

West Monroe continues to get outcoached and outplayed. Hard to believe they gave up almost 70 points in 1 game. They are looking at 6-4 this year. But just wait---I hear they have a great freshmen class coming up!

I envision WM becoming an offensive machine the next few years, especially with King at QB and some of those young receivers he has. Hard to imagine them going from a defensive juggernaut to offensive though, but I believe it is going to happen. Next season offensively they will be lights out and one of the best in the state. Defensively? uh, not so much. So you may want to prepare for this new paradox lol. |

I have repeatedly said I'm willing to give Davis a chance . But with that said , I also have decided not to build on high hopes . If it happens it will be totally awesome  . If it doesn't ...so be it .  . I honestly wish WM would emphasize on the defense a little more .Takes a load off offense . I guess Rob Arledge doesn't have the defensive mindset of Jerry Arledge .

Yes, 4th quarter. Both ejections were reviewed and the LHSAA will not be punishing either player. |

Yes, 4th quarter. Both ejections were reviewed and the LHSAA will not be punishing either player. |

Strange post but I will bite-- The Rebels have almost 3 times the attendance as North Desoto so they should certainly dominate a lower class school. And they always have a great freshmen team. I stand by 6-4 and I stand by they get outcoached in a few big games a year. (many Reb fans agree with me on this). Let's check on this thread after they play Catholic, ASH, Ruston, and Neville.

definitely not disagreeing, I think they actually go 5-5. I was just posting the result of the Freshman game since everyone seems so high on the Freshman class

OK, I will bite as well.
PROFESSIONAL GUIDE TO BEING A WM FAN
Step 1: Things are different THIS year
Step 2: See, we annihilated a clearly inferior team
Step 3: Rebels lose a game
Step 4: Everybody over reacts, either about coaching, talent, scheme, or expectations
Step 5: Rebs get a win
Step 6: "Next year is the year"
Step 7: Rebs finish above .500 and get a playoff win
Step 8: We might have a chance this year
Step 9: The officials cheated us
Step 10: Rinse and repeat
Here's the problem that nobody will acknowledge, many kids these days expect winning to be easy because that's how they were raised, their parents have arranged the pieces all through their nurturing... when they get in trouble or play the wrong position or get chewed out by a coach, or make a bad grade on their test, or got their feelings hurt by a friend... on and on it goes. The way things went down last year with Garvin will have an indefinite impact on the success of this program. The coaching staff has their hands tied because they were in on the Garvin coup d'etat, and now everyone (especially the players) know that the coaching authority is compromised. It's a bad place to be as a program. For the last 2 decades WM has been living with the ghosts of seasons past haunting the program, and until there is a real exorcism of those ghosts (which may not happen in my lifetime) why would anyone rationally expect anything different.
