What do we think. Welsh is looking good ,but Kinder over the past two weeks has looked like a well oiled machine. Looks to be a high scoring affair, however this game rarely is. I say around mid twenties unless one team starts to blow the other out. Our offenses are always there going into this game but our defenses always really come to play. I feel that Welsh has the edge on us defensively probably with skill and definently with experience. Welsh 21 Kinder 17 Or a 28-21 Something around there. (Yes I'm picking the hounds to win for yhe second year in a row but as always ill be pulling for my jackets. Yellow Jacket Nation baby!)

Also should be noted that we have yet to prove this year we can win the big game and Welsh has proven themselves in that area. So that is another reason for my pick. We want to prove ourselves we have to win the big one we have led for 3 in a half quarters both against Iowa and Notre Dame but couldn't put the game away or hang on. We did against Breaux Bridge but that wasn't as big a game I feel as Iowa, ND, and Welsh is gunna be

I surly wish I could make this one, where's the Thursday game when you need one! I can only go by what I've read about Welsh so I believe they are legit and deserving of their rankings. Kinder is much better than their record and obviously capable of jumping to an early lead. I think it's a toss up but I'm pulling for Welsh this week to help set up a district championship showdown week 9 with ND. I also hope it's a slugfest and both teams leave everything on the field.

It always is since 2003 there has only been 3 lopsided victories 4 if you count 2014 2 for Welsh 2 for Kinder. Only the 2014 week 10 game Welsh didn't p lay to their potential but made up for it 4 weeks later. I'll post some stats later and history but this game is rarely decides by more than one score. One of the sports writers from American Press consider this SWLA's greatest rivalry. Not to mention the kids always have a lot of fun and fight hard but it's always a clean game rarely see personal fouls. The fans usually make it dirty but luckily it's not reflected on the field.

Should be another classic both teams seems to be really clicking, and I could see them both making the done if they are on opposite sides of the bracket. With that said I will go with Welsh by a td.

Trying not to be too much of a homer, but I think this is finally where those close losses to Iowa and ND pay off for Kinder. I can see this one ending in a shootout, I’ll say Kinder 44, Welsh 42.

I don’t know too much about Walsh, but this seems to really be your game that sets the tone before playoffs. Good luck and I’m going with kinder on my pick.

Tough one to call this year. Kinder has been a different team the last three weeks whereas Welsh has been very good on both sides of the ball all season. I'd say the key for Kinder is in the back half of the defense. The Jackets' secondary needs to keep the Hounds from hitting big plays in the passing game. Our LBs need to keep Zach Hayes contained and not let him hurt us with big runs like he did last year. On the other side of the ball the Jackets need to mix it up, stay balanced, and not get locked in to calling the same play over and over(dive left, dive right, dive middle) to keep the Welsh defense guessing. Protect the line of scrimmage and don't let the Hounds defense get consistent penetration. So glad we at home this time. Should be able to see a lot better.

We get to go head up with the 2a PUBLIC #1 team, after going toe to toe with the 2a private #1 team. Think IF we win this one, and could POSSIBLY beat w. Feliciana, we could have #1 seed going into the playoffs. Big IFS. 🤞

They have been far from dominant this season. I forgot to mention in my post above that we have to eliminate the turnovers.

Kinder as always been kryptonite for Welsh. They always double down on practice that week and come up with some beautiful offensive and defensive play schemes.

Can't wait. This game has came down to wire. Last year welsh winning on 80 yard drive then intercepting a pass to seal it. Kinder stops welsh inside the kinder 10 last year to win , few years ago a double overtime game that kinder blocked extra point to send to overtime. Kinder stopped welsh on the inch yard line to win the game. It will be packed , exciting, and both teams will leave it all out there. Great coaching, great kids and two of the biggest small school followings in the area, also a lot of respect between the two schools. About 33 hours until the showdown lets get It

What is Welsh's kicking game like? Special teams will make the difference in this game just like it made the difference in the ND Kinder game. I am going to go back to our game with ND. They have some he best special teams play I have seen in a long time, especial for a 2A school. When two teams are equal it usually comes down the special teams.

Welsh kicker is a returner from last year this past week he boomed all but one kickoff out of the endzone and he punts normally between 40-50 yards when he catches it correctly. Kickoff and punt return we have a lot of speed back there.
