Eyes tell me Welsh, but somehow I think Kinder pulls this one off. Either way, should be a great game!

Can't get any closer than last game, think kinder is got their confidence back and wins this one. Trent Johnson at QB will be the difference in this one, since he didn't qb much last time. Kinder tackles well this game and wraps up the quarterback like they should have last game. That's my opinion.

Fifth meeting between these two teams in the last three years. These two teams are very familiar with each other. Should be a great game.

I’ll gave to go with Kinder in the rematch. It’s hard to beat a team twice in a year.

We will find out who has the better coaching staff...teams that have played as often as these two have...whomever adjust better and or throws in a wrinkle or two will have a good shot at victory.

Kinder has the better coaching staff no doubt in that. I expect some needed high schools to start picking away at them after this year.

Going by our experience playing both teams I say Kinder is favored by three TD’s. But the game being in Welsh maybe drops it to one or two. Kinder also has has the advantages of luring area baseball players to play football. So giving all that I pick Kinder to win 34-21

Thanks for clearing that up. I suspected that. You obviously don’t understand the term “advantage”. Notre Dame's advantage is that it doesn't matter what sports they have because they can cherry pick players from anywhere. Not that they have to go very far. Crowley, Rayne, Iota, and the surrounding areas are constantly loaded with talent. And with Lewis Cook's track record they don't even have to try to attract players to their school for the most part. I'm sure a lot of their students go there because of tradition too. Anyway, back to topic.

Not counting places like Welsh and Elton, who have lost students to ND... but hey kids from Reeves can play football at Kinder and kids from Elton and Lacasine can play baseball at Welsh.

We have zero kids from Elton and Lacassine But you wouldn’t be breaking any rules if a kid zoned for Lacasine came to Welsh to play football. Or if a Kid from Elton wanted to play baseball.

These teams only played a month ago but have played 4 games since. Hard to say what will happen when they meet again. When it was so close the first time its hard to imagine it being any different but it is likely to play out differently. It's in Welsh this time but that is only a minimal effect as the towns are only a few miles apart and Kinder played there just last year. If we can tackle better this time our defense can hang with their offense. Turnovers will definitely be the key. Welsh fumbled several times in the first game but was able to recover all of them but one and we dropped what would've been an INT on Welsh's game winning drive. We had a couple of turnovers ourselves and have rarely played turnover free this season. I don't know what to expect this time so i have no prediction but i do know our offense needs to score more than 19 points to win this game. All the Way Big K !!! Dilly Dilly.

I usually lurk and never post, but I'm gonna weigh in on this recruiting debate. Both my wife and I went to public school but are in a better financial position than our parents and decided to give our kids a chance at a better education than we had and decided to send them to a private school. Did that have anything to do with ND football? I can say no because they went to private school for 9 years before they got to high school. So on to the debate, does ND recruit? I can answer that question with an emphatic yes! They recruit the kids in their school to play sports there. They have 150 boys and 100 play football. Are they all talented football prodigies? Come on man. They are blue collar hard working kids that give up their entire summers to workout at 5:30 am every morning. They get kids to buy into the system that if you work, you will be rewarded. They hardly ever start kids until their senior year because they have 2 or 3 kids in front of them at the same position. So if you want to compete with ND, get in the halls at school and talk to boys. Every 2A school has at least 150 boys there. Get them into the gym and give them a plan for success. Line up the 22 hardest working kids you have, not the 6 or 7 most talented and give it a shot. Until then, please quit whining that we recruit kids from all over the area that never start until their senior year.

Just pointing out that if it's advantage that Kinder and Welsh can get players from schools within their parishes that don't offer certain sports and that is considered an advantage, then what would you consider being able to draw from a regional footprint with nearly a quarter of a million people? You really have to throw logic out the window if you deny the difference.

Go to 2006 cuz this is where the rivalry was resurrected. 22-20 Kinder first round of playoffs kinder forces 3 fumbles and seals deal with an interception after trailing 20-6 with 6 minutes left 8in the game. Point is this is always a battle.

Third meeting with these 2 teams in the playoffs since 2006. As big a district rivalry as this is we don't really more incentive to make this a big matchup r very year but I'm always happy to play Welsh. Welsh has always had a solid program. What I find incredible is how cleanly this game is always played only 20 miles of Louisiana back roads separating these 2 schools and a lot of these kids play or have played travel ball together. I hate that it's a select few fans that make this game dirty because that is never reflected on the field. Earlier in the season after the game one of the Welsh fans ran in the middle of the Kinder huddle at midfield hollering and kind of running it in. I know this aint the Welsh fan base as a whole I have spoke with a few and they are very respectful. My thoughts on the game: Welsh is more talented and the better looking team I think we are a little better coached in my opinion. Welsh also has better experience. We will have to clean up mistakes from the last matchup and not give up. We could have easily done so last night but I think we grew up. Senioor leadership took over for us and Trent Johnson connecting with Jordan Cordova gave us life after that Trent, Jordan, Hayden Thomas, and Joey McNeeley pretty much took over the game. We will need the same effort from those 4 senior leaders in order to beat the Greyhounds and I know we will get the best effort from them for 4 quarters.
As far as who I think will win? I ain't gunna put my money down on it.
