Anyone here familiar with this year's St James team? Does Kaplan stand a chance? I'll start off by saying that I haven't seen St. James but if Kaplan plays against them they way they played against Acadiana and ND ( even though the final score wasn't all that close with ND they played them really tough). I'm not gonna say they will beat them but it should be a one score ball game.

Kaplan isn't near as talented as most people they play they are coached well and come with the hat every play. That is their balance. You bring the athletes Kaplan brings the grit. That is name of our game as well but Kaplan beat us at our own game.

If we don't make any mistakes or turnovers, we will win it.

St. James is loaded on the defensive side the ball, they start 10 or 11 seniors on that side and have probably the best front 4 of anyone left in 3A. Also, have the Preston kid(#7) Miss St commitment, who is a shut down corner. All around, they are well coached and make sure they get the ball into the athletes hands on offense. Their main signal caller is still banged up and has played lil QB since the EDW game in which he got hurt, the backup has down the job though, but they make sure not to put to much on his plate. Kaplan has to play ball control offense and try and tire out St James.

Should be a good game. St James QB is young and will throw a few up for grabs because he feels his WRs are better than the CBs.
They can hit you with chunk plays or grind it out.
Will he interesting to see what Valdez comes up with on the lines

Shawn Preston, the miss st. committ plays outside lb but is being recruited as a safety.

Novel idea knee pads right where they were designed for.

Offense had trouble sustaining drives. Have big play guys. This should be a good game.

In last year’s quarterfinals, Jennings did not run one play from scrimmage after the middle of the 3rd quarter.

I think the Cats front 4 dominate once again. Cats gave up 97 total yards in round 1 and 80 total yards in round 2. St. James is hot right now. I don't see them slowing down this week. SJH 34 Kaplan 23

SJH 34 Kaplan 23 If SJH are able to make Kaplan throw the ball it's going to be a long night for the pirates. SJH is the only team in the 3A bracket that have not allow a score on their defense.

Kaplan will use ground control to keep St James offense on the bench. Kaplan by two TD’s.

St James is as good as the front four will allow them to be . #68 is a man child along with #57.. they're strength is stopping the run, they are led by all state safety Sean Preston. Qb is young but super athletic. Will be a national recruit . O line is the weakness imo ,but makes up with it with some speed . Will match up well with kaplin wing T.

SJH will focus on stopping Thibeaux and they have the athletes and speed to do so. Main problem for teams outside the river parishes who aren't familiar with SJH is their team speed. They alternate QBs and both are good, and their best athletes play on both sides of the ball. Unless you have the size to overpower them and the athletes to negate their athleticism, you won't fare too well. Not to mention they played a really tough schedule and are battle-tested. Their fans come out in droves and it's not an easy place to play. However if Kaplan can control the clock and keep it close they definitely stand a chance. I think SJH wins a close one -- it'll be a one score game.
