Scrimmages start this week for teams. Let's get a early poll of Favorites coming out this class. Let's hear some top 10 teams.

I would agree with most of the teams listed in Div. 4, but not Central Catholic. They lost everything. I'd put Houma Christian in the top tier. Maybe even Ascension Catholic and Covenant Christian.

Ouachita Christian & Opelousas Catholic will be tough to beat. I think 1 of them run away with it. Central Catholic lost some stud pitching. I don't know anything about Houma Christian or Covenant Christian. I heard talk about the Houma Christian team though after they beat St. John & Cedar Creek last year in the playoffs

Curious.. Is Choudrant a class B school? Kinder will play them in the Trey Altick Invitational tournament. I know they won state last year so looking forward to playing them

Was in the Houma area visiting family for the Mardi Gras parades. Got so see some good games. Was able to watch the Houma Christian and Covenant Christian teams play and also some 4A & 5A schools from that area.

Choudrant is the defending Class B State Champ. Not sure what they have coming back but they were good last year. They didn't beat any good bigger schools though. They were kinda dominant at their level but they wouldn't have got very far in 2A.

Oh ok. We"lol play Sterlington and Ouaita Christian also. Forgot the other two teams. It's always a tough tournament. Great competition

Don't quote me cus I might get shot if I'm wrong but I believe Logansport lost out in the 2nd round against Block. Lost the first two games in best 2 of 3

1A doesn't play 2 out of 3. Their whole playoff is one and done. But your right. They were the #1 seed and lost to #16 Block in the 2nd round 19-11. Block then lost to Oberlin in the Quarterfinals.

Really? I had thought that they decided against it. I've heard both sides of why 1A should go to best of 3 and how it's not fair for the other classes but not them. I looked at Lhsaa site last week and it shows best of 3. So I guessed it passed. I'm sure it pisses off some teams. I know most ride 1 arm in the playoffs. Should mix it up

Heck Kinder in the past would have struggled playing best of 3. This year we are very blessed and have 5 possibly 6 very good seasoned pitchers that can go deep. Now next year that could very well be a different story. But it's apparent people up top are smarter than me with coming to this decision

I seen a few schools in 1A rode 1 arm a lot in district and playoffs, even deep in the playoffs. That can all change this year. Will be interesting.

I never liked 2 out of 3 for the small schools. Large schools are going to have multiple arms anyway but its much harder for small schools. People wanna complain about teams riding 1 arm to the State Tournament but i say if u can't beat a team's best lineup, i.e. ace pitcher on the mound, then u shouldn't advance anyway. But it is 2 out of 3 now til the Semi Finals so we just have more games to enjoy. Season kicks off Monday and i just hope we don't have a bunch of rain outs this year. All the Way Big K !!!!

He's a hell of a ball player. But 1 kid won't cut it. Lol. I watched them play last week but wasn't sure who was starters or not since it was a scrimmage. Are they pretty deep?
