I coach on the Youngsville turf with my 8U team all last summer and it's beyond ridiculous how hot it gets. First tournament we ever hosted there a few years back for one of our PONY World Series, an umpire from Texas had to go buy new shoes because the bottom of his melted on the turf. I believe it! I'm glad they pushed the games back to 6 an 8 last summer. May end up running into you in a game. My other nephew is moving into coach pitch. He's 7 but will be with 8u. He's an out standing batter. He's been to the Pony World Series with Kinder for the past two years and has gotten pretty far. It's just so damn hot over there!! I’ve been seeing those teams the last 2 years. I’m one of the tournament directors for the section tournaments in Erath. Kinder 8U knocked out my Loreauville Dirtbags 8U team in last years Super Region. Coached against Coach Courville when my oldest was younger. Kinder always has good groups of youth coaches. |

My oldest is a sopre. We played in Eunice and we both ran out of pitchers. Think the final score was something like 36-24 after 4 hours. |

Loreauville played 4A Westgate today in the Jamboree. Started a sopre lefty who missed last year and hasn’t thrown yet. Fell behind 3-0 after the first. Westgate started their ace and he went 3 innings. Second inning we threw another sopre lefty. Third and fourth inning we threw our ace. Fifth inning our lanky sopre righty threw for the first time this year. The. Our junior sidewinder finished the game. Bats came alive in the third inning and we ended up winning 8-5. Might stubble at time this season with as many as 7 sopres in the lineup at once but watch out in the coming years.

Kinder played at 3:30 so fans could be able to go support the girl's playoff game. Kinder's Invitational has games also going on in Iowa so they moved the Pickering Oakdale game there. I haven't heard who won yet in that one. Iowa vs Grand Lake was the late game in Iowa tonight. |

(4A) Carencro 8 - Loreauville 14
Jumped on them 12-2 after an 11 run 4th inning. Walks and mistakes allowed Carencro to score 4 in the fifth and 2 in the seventh. Good win for us over an experienced Carencro squad who will compete for their district title.
(3A) Loranger 10 - Loreauville 3
Fell behind early, giving up 5 in the second and 4 in the third, and never could string together hits to make a comeback. 4 official errors (many more if you count mental errors), 5 walks, and our batters striking out 11 times killed us in this game.
Loreauville 18 - (1A) Kentwood 1
Don't think Kentwood has their full team yet with basketball just ending last night for them. We scored 10 in the top of the first and 6 in the top of the second, then it was smooth sailing after that.

What a game! Kinder vs Menard] Top of the 6th Menard is up 7-1. The tides changed quickly and Kinder takes the win 9-8 finishing out our tournament at 12:15 tonight. 4 games 4 wins! Face the Tors at home Tuesday🐝🐝

I seriously doubt we'll see anybody as good as Sulphur in 2A. We do have bragging rights of having put up the most points against Sulphur this year. Along with 5A Airline who lost to them 12-6. Not too shabby for a 2A🐝🐝 Especially considering their schedule as of yet |

Loreauville Baseball Week
Tuesday: North Vermilion game postponed due to field conditions.
HANSON TOURNAMENT:
Thursday: Loreauville 7 - Westgate 6
Starting pitcher had a no-hitter going in the 6th until he gave up 2 straight single and left with a 7-0 lead. Westgate rallied for 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th but Loreauville hangs on for a 7-6 win. After this week, Westgate is now 4-3.
Friday: Loreauville 17 - Hanson 9
Jumped up 14-4 heading into the bottom of the 5th but couldn't put Hanson away. Hanson kept fighting and we had to go the distance for the win. After this week, Hanson is now 2-4 but will improve as their basketball players move into the lineup.
Saturday: Loreauville 6 - Houma Christian 11
Back and forth battle. Houma Christian scored 2 in the first. Loreauville answered with 5 in the top of the 4th. Houma Christian answered with 5 in the bottom of the 4th. Houma Christian pulled away with 3 run in the bottom of the 6th to put the game out of reach. The Warriors are very good and have plenty of experience in their lineup. After this week, Houma Christian is now 8-0.

Loreauville Week
Tuesday: Loreauville 3 - Cecilia 4
Tough game to lose. Lots of errors, both metal and physical. Tied 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh with 1 out; error, walk, bunt single (mental error), then walk in winning run.
CENTRAL CATHOLIC TOURNAMENT
Thursday: Central Lafourche 9 - Loreauville 13
Another great outing on the mound by a starter and almost blown by relief pitching. Up 11-3 after 4 innings, and hold on for the victory.
Friday: Loreauville 5 - Ascension Catholic 2
Good ballgame played by both teams. Only 1 defensive error for both teams and only 5 total walks. Complete game by our starter. Couple mental errors, but they didn't hurt us.
Saturday: Loreauville 0 - Morgan City 3
Only positive is no errors on defense. Negative was that our offense was shut down to only 2 hits with 10 strikeouts.
