Rosepine 8 Kinder 7- Jackets led 7-3 going to Bottom of 7th. I left when K finished bat at top of the 7th. Once my kid got home it took him about 10 minutes to finally get me to believe him that Kinder ended up losing. I asked him how in the heck did that happen? He said if you can imagine it, it happened. Crazy errors. Classic baseball. Nothing's guaranteed until blue says "ball game." |

Last week's games:
Loreauville 5 - [4A] Breaux Bridge 6
Back and forth game through 4 innings. Loreauville up 5-4 in bottom of the 7th and 1 out. Single, HBP, walk, very controversial squeeze to tie the game (Conference call later agrees that call was wrong and runner should have been out), walk off single over the outfielders that were playing shallow. Either way, walk off single would have at least tied the game. Another tough loss but team is coming together and getting even better than we thought.
Loreauville 6 - [4A] Cecilia 2
Another dominant complete game by a starting pitcher, only giving up 2 runs on 3 hits. Only runs by Cecilia was a 2 run no doubt HR on a missed spot by our pitcher.
[5A] East Ascension 9 - Loreauville 7
Another back and forth game. Down 9-5 in bottom of the 7th, we loaded the bases and scored 2 runs but couldn't overcome the deficit.
Loreauville 8 - [1A] False River 4
Well played game by both teams except for the fact that it was a little sluggish. Neither team seamed to be fully into the game, but we'll take the W.
This week's schedule will be brutal to watch as we start district play:
Tuesday @ Jeanerette
Thursday vs Jeanerette
Saturday vs Franklin

Almost done with the painful part of our schedule.
Loreauville 29 - Jeanerette 0
Perfect game by our pitcher. JV played final 4 innings.
Jeanerette 2 - Loreauville 18
Combined 1 hitter from our pitchers (Not our regular varsity pitchers). JV started mixing in during the 3rd inning.
Franklin 0 - Loreauville 18
Combined no-hitter from our pitchers. Once again, majority of the game played by our JV.
This week we have another game against Franklin on Tuesday, then we host Opelousas Catholic on Wednesday before taking the Easter break off.

Thought it was a 2 team race but man Welsh and Lake Arthur have really played better than i thought. For a small district enrollment wise this district is very tough. |

Drop both rivalry game to that red school. We won both games last year. Before that, we slit the game the previous 4 seasons. Usually, those 2 game decide who wins district. This year, Acension Episcopal has been thrown in the mix and we get them next. Then after us, they meet the red school.

The only solice we can muster at this point is that two exceptional baseball teams may be codistict champions and possibly COULD bring home 2 state championships within the same district. No disrespect to Welsh and Lake Arthur cause we still have to play both them again. |

Most won't understand my excitement today but heading to DeRidder to watch Kinder JV play a full 7 innings against DR's JV. Nice to get some good playing time when you're still a low man on the totem poll!!❤️❤️
