Tigers score 5 in the first then 5 in the fourth to jump our to a 10-0 lead. Bobcats started their comeback with 5 in the bottom of the 4th. Tigers get 2 insurance runs in the top of the 7th to hold on for the win.

ED White beat LCA 7-1 yesterday, the 1st game of a 3-game series; they'll play a back-to-back today. This followed a Tuesday 13-0 win over Central Catholic for the Cardinals.

Looking into Central Catholic's schedule, it's a trip; they are 2-2 and in all 4 games the losing team was shutout. I already mentioned ED White's 13-0 win in a previous post, and Hahnville one-upped that Saturday with a 17-0 win over the Eagles. CC's two wins have been 17-0 against Patterson on Thursday and 14-0 against Kenner Discovery on Saturday. Tomorrow they face Berwick.

Opelousas Catholic is firing off hot to start the season after starting the year with a 7-5 loss against a currently 7-1 Southside team that's beaten STM, Loreauville and North Vermilion among others; in OC's other 3 games they've won 9-6 against Pine Prairie, 11-1 against Episcopal, and 6-5 against Breaux Bridge (the Tigers' only loss so far this season). Could be interesting to potentially see them in the Div-IV playoffs against OCS if this keeps up.

DeQuincy falls 3-2 to an impressive Kountze team from Texas.
Kountze also beat South Beauregard 5-3 before playing DeQuincy.
