Delcambre currently sits at 6-1 with their only loss being a 4-10 game vs NISH. It technically gets listed as a forfeit because a pitcher was put into the game who was supposed to be on rest.

LCA goes 2-1 at the Eunice tourney, beating St Ed's 4-2 and Iota 10-9 and losing to Eunice 10-9. Next game is a Tuesday matchup with Ascension Catholic followed by the North Vermillion tournament Thursday through Saturday.
After a rough stretch, getting swept by ED White, then losing to Carencro midweek, then going 1-2 against Vermillion Catholic, this tournament along with a midweek 8-4 win over Erath is a good bounceback.

Teurlings (10-4, #1 D-II Select), North Vermillion (10-3, #3 D-II NS) and STM (5-8-1, #9 D-II Select) already makes the district a tough one, in addition to Daivd Thibodaux (5-5, #17 D-II Select) showing signs of life at the plate as of late (64 runs in the last 6 games, including 7 on Kaplan and 5 on Cecilia, being 4-2 in those 6 games). edit on the David Thibodaux part: it's now 74 runs in 7 games after today's game. |

LCA got what I'd consider their best win so far yesterday, beating Southside 11-8. That's going to be big toward power points for the Knights, as Southside was having a very good season so far and has started off 3-1 in the slaughterhouse that is 3-5A (though to be fair, it's been Acadiana and Carencro so far, with the hard hitters from the LC area coming up). Today, the Knights played the Notre Dame Pios and, down 2-1 going into the 7th, Cooper Martin hit a grand slam and the Knights won 5-2. Looking at Notre Dame's results so far, this may top Southside for their best win this season, though Southside will still be more impactful for power points. I'll edit this post when I get further results from the Saturday game. And they played Port Barre and beat them 8-0. Port Barre is listed as 8-6 with a Power Ranking of 14 which surprised me. Overall, going 3-0 in this tourney is a big step in the right direction for LCA going into district. |

Even in a loss as tough as this, this is a statement game from LCA. North Vermillion along with Teurlings seem to be top dogs in the district, and the Knights just took North Vermillion to the brink. LCA has a should win game against Northside Thursday (edit: Wednesday), then Saturday they travel to STM for what won’t be an easy game but a game that now I’m as confident they have a legit chance in as ever, especially with STM facing Teurlings on Thursday (and given the rivalry there, I could see both teams throwing their 1’s).
Edit to add the score for the Northside game, LCA took care of business with a 21-0 no hit win over Northside. And I haven't gone to any of the games yet, but I just may try to make the STM one at STM on Saturday.

Kinder bounced back in a big way by destroying Jennings 16-1 to improve to 1-2 in District.
Jackets are 15-6 overall and #3 in the Div III Power Rankings.

STM won 6-2 today. LCA got 2 runs on the board in the 1st then couldn't string together anything else, while STM scored their 6 runs in 3 sets of 2. Game was 2-2 until the 4th.
Onto a tough game at U High on Tuesday, a should win at Westgate Thursday, then Saturday they face David Thibodaux, who themselves took a 19-1 loss against North Vermillion today.
