I would be surprised if Brett Beard would move to Denham Springs. He has a good set up at Live Oak. Everyone there loves him. Area is growing and will attract more students. Now Denham is much larger school, but Live Oak could catch up in 10 years. Live Oak Junior High has not lost a game in two years. My niece and nephew go to school in Live Oak. The community really supports Coach Beard.

It’s a very interesting dynamic as it’s 3 5a schools within like 15 miles of each other. Denham has new administration I was told. They will pay

Patterson HC Don Jones has resigned How many years has Don Jones been coaching? 30? Jones has been head coach and Athletic Director of the Berwick Junior High program since 2014, but he brings a stellar high school and college resume to Patterson. Since entering the ranks of Louisiana head football coaches in the early 1970’s, Jones has been head coach at 8 different schools. His most successful stop came with Plaquemine HS from 1979-1986, and again from 1998-2006. With Jones at the helm, the Green Devils made the playoffs 13 times, winning 8 district championships and posting four seasons with 10-0 records. He also won a combined 7 district championships at other schools; 2 each with Sterlington in the 1970s, Crowley in the 90’s and Woodlawn in the 2000’s, as well as 1 title with Winnfield in the mid-1990’s. Jones has a career record of 233-146-3, and has been named a District Coach of the Year 12 times. His accomplishments saw him inducted into the Louisiana High School Coaches’ Association Hall of Fame in 2016. Jones’ resume also includes a stint as quarterbacks coach at USL (now UL) from 1986-1993.

Rumors are that Drey Trosclair could be next after the Lee High School fight club incident that hit the papers last night. Stop spreading rumors. It doesn’t make you important. He’s not going anywhere unless he chooses to leave for one of these programs that opens up and may be a better opportunity.
