Confirmed that Byron Keller is out at Natchitoches Central Riverdale has hired Chalmette OC Kyle Walker as HC congrats to him... My angle on this is that Tucker and Marcus Scott need 8-5A to improve and what better way than to put their guys everywhere else. It will take time though but it can pay off for everyone

All I can say is he is 100000000000’s times better than the old OC and his sidekick. Inherit a semifinal team and spend the next five years running the program in the ground. No football playing nor coaching experience seemingly hell bent on destroying the program. But that’s just my opinion

Any candidates to replace Smith waiting in the wings? One candidate moved to Michigan and the other is a very familiar face that used to be the head coach from 2007-2010 and knows the expectations and the standard and will get the best out of each player. Other than that I haven’t heard anything but I’ll do some digging into and let you know.

I honestly don't think either of those guys would've been the next head coach (even though I love Coach Kellogg). I think that the next head coach will be a totally new face that is not familiar with the program OR a face that is already in the program.

We don’t need to hire anyone that’s already on the staff.. we need an outsider. The good ole boy system has to go.

I don't think Kellogg wants to go back to DeQuincy. I think he likes where he's at. I've heard a new coach on staff may want it and an outside guy is interested.

But that’s just my opinion If this is true I wouldn’t be surprised if the OL coach gets the HC. He is one of Pender’s guys and coached there in the past. I would think the community would stand behind him more then the staff before Bankston. Why did that staff get such a long leash?

Well last week, a friend of mine heard from his cousin who was fooling around with his brothers baby momma that had talked to a dude who said they might have an opening coming. So they all applied after that.

A lot of cluelessness in this thread. A simple search of the CPSB job openings page will reveal that the DeQuincy job has yet to be opened. So, if one knew how the job world works, one would know there can be no applicants until the job is actually opened by the parish. But hey, A for effort.

I went to say the same thing yesterday, it only became public knowledge to the players on Friday. Only people that would know about the job opening are the family and friends of the players and coaches. It will not be posted on CPSB probably until next week and then there will not be a decision most likely until after the new year unless the principal has someone in mind already.

The couple of folks I talk to from Winnfield are pretty sure that the OL coach was brought back this year to take the Head Coach spot eventually. Not sure its a good move considering the only head coach experience he has is one year at Ruston Jr High but hes got probably 20 years or more of experience and is liked I think. If Bankston steps aside its going to be a dogfight between the OL coach, Tharpe and the DC for that job. They all think it should be theirs. Whoever the head coach is next year will be dealing with an empty pantry. They are graduating a ton of starters. They only have about 5 starters coming back next year and I've been told that they haven't done a very good job of building depth through their Freshman and JV programs. Not sure they are ever getting back to being a winning program. It's a shame considering how good they were a while back.
