Why do people think that private schools should have their own association? We are a minority but we were here first. I know that didn't work well for the Indians. Instead of trying to push them out or segregating them into a "sovereign nation"why don't the unhappy schools leave? Why don't they form a league of their own kind? Just s thought. Just line up and play the game! It's a game for kids that is supposed to be enjoyable while teaching them how to compete. The adults in charge (both sides) have missed the mark. Totally agreeable to that!!! Excellent!!

Is it possible for you to refer to Booker without insults? Or are you that childish? Or, I guess you can go whine to the moderators because you don't like what I have to say. Typical behaviour for those with your way of thinking. It doesn't shock me a bit that you think the split is a good thing. Since what I think obviously bothers you so much, I'm pretty sure you know exactly what I think about you. good day. I'm out. Your opinion of me is about as important as your opinion on this board. Glad you got your little rant over with. Feel better?

The LHSAA has no say in the matter. The only thing stopping Many from having students from all those parishes is the local school board. I wonder how many people from surrounding parishes would be willing to pay $7,500 a year to send their kids to Many High School, plus provide their own transportation. By the way. Evangel did not play Many back to back in the playoffs those years you mentioned. NO. Many and Evangel DID play each other in back to back years in the playoffs. Both games were quarterfinal games, I believe. I don't know that each one was a 50+ point victory, but I know that neither game was close. And those were two VERY good Many teams.

Thanks for the backup xcat.
I was at the '08 game in the off and on rain at Evangel. Rasco had a VERY late hit on the Many qb early in the game and knocked him silly and he was ineffective the rest of the night (don't think he played a lot after that). He was their best player by far!! And there was no flag on the play... Once Many's offense was derailed the game was over.
To Evangel's credit, the one thing that surprised me was that Evangel scrapped their high powered offense and got in two tight, three backs and pounded the ball inside all night to negate the rain and mud.

As long as you're pretty sure of my opinion of you, I'm satisfied. Your condescending tone makes me laugh a little bit. As for whatever my opinion is thought of on this board, it's of no real consequence to me personally. It's a web forum. I participate in lots of them and have for years. It's amusement. I don't watch much TV, I come to web forums. There's always some clown, like your, that stirs the pot and tries to get people banned or suspended when they don't listen and buy into your drivel. But no, I really don't care what anyone on this board thinks of my opinion. You shouldn't either. But you do. Otherwise, you wouldn't have complained about what I said. If the words of an insignificant opinion can bother you that much, you probably have a twisted life. I can't imagine how you handle any minor conflict at your job. God bless those you work with for putting up with you.

The fact that no flag was thrown was just a general statement about the play and not intended to insinuate anything other than the fact that there was no flag on the play. But of course, you are so butthurt over the split that you perceive it as me blaming the loss on there not being a flag on that play. Evangel's offense lined up and mashed Many all night and was physically dominant. That is what won the game. The fact that Many's offense was made impotent by the hit on the quarterback kept Many from gaining any momentum or keeping up with Evangel's offense. I'm not from Many. I was at the game as a fan. I don't recall ever saying that I had a "big problem with ECA". Could you please point that out to me ? Surely you can go back and find where I wrote that in some other post, huh?

I didn't say you said that you had a problem with ECA. Remember that reading comprehension thing you mentioned? Yeah. That. I don't need you to say that you have a problem with ECA, directly. I don't believe ECA is the whole of your problem. Private schools are. I'm not butthurt over the split. I've said for years that private schools should have their own league. I don't like how the split came about simply because people like whatshisface accuse private schools of cheating. Nobody cheated. The rules needed changing and instead of doing that, there was a split. That's my issue with the split. Other than that, I'm okay with it. I think it's probably not the best thing for either side in a state this small. But I'm willing to go along with private schools getting out of the LHSAA and having their own league. You're using "LOL" a lot today. Did you just learn that? FWIW, it seems as though people are migrating back to "hahaha" for whatever reason. But I'm good with either.

"Is that what your big problem is with ECA?"
I'm positive this is word for word what you typed 10 minutes ago.
Again, I'd like to see where I stated that anywhere on here in the past.
(It's ok, I know I didn't say it , and that you can't find it....)
"I didn't say you said that you had a problem with ECA."
Are you suffering from short term memory loss? (see above comment by yourself a few minutes ago)

That was a question, not a statement. Your attitude is such that you seem to have a big problem with Evangel. Again, I'm not saying that you said that. When I mentioned it, I was asking a question.
Just to make sure we're on the same page: Your attitude here has been such that one could conclude that you have a problem with Evangel (and private schools in general). When I asked if that was what your problem with ECA was, I referring to the fact that your attitude comes off like you do.
When you wanted me to show you where you'd said that, I said in my reply that I didn't need you to say it.
You never did answer if you're whatshisface or not. You just said that you were a fan and not from Many. I used to work a job in Austin, but I never "claimed" Austin. If someone asked, I'd tell them I wasn't from there.
I would expect whatshisface to be a fan of the school he works for.
I'll assume that you're not him. I'm almost disappointed though.
I'd love to continue this little back and forth more with you, but I have some stuff to do outside and I'm afraid I don't have cell coverage where I work.
I know you're not a fan of my opinion, but if you're ever in the market for a cell phone contract, Sprint is not the best as far as coverage in NW Louisiana.
Good day.

Neither Evangel or JC would have played Many in 2009-2010 if not for the play in class rule passed by the democratic majority of the LHSAA. And now we are here.....

Just out of curiosity does anyone know what Evangels and JC's record was while being forced to play in 2a (only against 2a teams). I'm willing to bet the only loses they had were against each other.

"Close Calls" and lost to the greatest single team in St. James history. Yep, sounds even to me.

I used AT&T up here several years back and it was okay. When I was in Austin, I got involved in this contract with Sprint because it was a GREAT over there. Then I met my wife and we merged our Sprint accounts. She never leaves the main areas of Shreveport-Bossier, so she doesnt have to deal with their terrible service. I'm waiting for the stupid contract to expire so I can move on to something else. Any time I get a call at work, I show that someone called and then I have to come back up to the office and call them back. It's a hassle. It's probably good that you're not whatshisface. I feel pretty confident that I would have ended up banned from here.

proves the point... if they're trotting out NFL players out there against 2A, then yeah i'd have supported a split more
but they're all high school kids up to 19 years old playing. some advantages in the rules exist but the competition isn't that skewed to where it's futile to even compete. you probably don't care that they win state titles. you just want to see them have a 4-6 year occasionally. that's what this is all about.
besides neither is in 2A anymore so this is moot

I respect the nomination, but I think Ken Trahan would be best suited. He has all the answers. He has a pen, a computer, a Rummel education, and a winning smile. However, I'm not so sure JT wouldnt be more than a little deppressed if he couldnt be the boss.............who knows? As for Billy Boy, well, he could maybe be the new Parlimentarian?

Trahan- Rummel Grad and in the NO Catholic Schools (and JT's back pocket). He is a pawn, nothing more. JT Curtis- Good man, Great integrity. Issue is he has ALWAYS had things HIS way. He doesnt consider the issue that others have with his "method" of fielding teams. He honestly believes that is is just that much better. He IS a good coach. Put him at East Ibberville.

Anyone with a brain does. So, no apples play apples, oranges play oranges.
