How many championships has Coach Cook won post split?
But honestly wouldn't a more fair comparison be to compare their success at parallel points in their careers? If that is the case, they are pretty darn close. That is truly the only fair comparison.
Not hardly. Winning at a high level when we had 4 and classes vs playing with 9 watered brackets is totally different. We only 14 teams in D3 and half of them shouldn’t even be in the playoffs. Which is why I said that a fair comparison would be at similar points in their career. No one expected State Championships from Indest at Crowley or Kaplan, but he did have high level of success at both schools.

What Coach Cook did with that Crowley team vs. Wossman in the Dome is unheard of. Wossman in the 80s/early 90s was Neville in the 2000s. They were bigger, faster, and better than Crowley across the board. That game and the home playoff game vs. Curtis might be two of his best coached games. Those were fairly early in his career. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Coach Cook. He may be the best living Coach in Acadiana, but when its all said and done, Indest may be right up there with him. You can't go wrong with either on the sidelines.

I’m definitely looking forward to the game and cutting up with y’all before. I like ice cold Coors light and I’m bringing my wife with me to help steer yalls women away! I’ll take the Pios by a touchdown. But the good news is we will get to do this again in the fall! Is the CHS QB really as good as what I am hearing?

When Louie took over at Crowley they were on a 22 game losing streak and he took them to the finals twice and won a championship in 8 years. He went back for one year in 1996 and took them to the finals again. Indest came in with a huge, loaded freshman class and other than beating ND in the regular season left with dismal post season record. Same school, similar situations, totally different results.

I don't know of any logical football fan that would have expected state championships at a school who has never been in the hunt for one, especially before the split.
Look I am not saying that Coach Cook isn't a better coach, I am saying that they are both great and deserve respect. I don't see the need to bash one in order to build the other one up. Both men can stand on their very impressive merits.

They are honestly both great coaches, two of the best in the state. With that said Coach Cook is the better coach.

I’m not bashing nor did I start this cook vs Indest dialogue. We all have opinions and I respect others opinions. But facts are reality and facts are indisputable.

All I know is when a coach beats you 37-0 in week 4 then face the same team in the championship game and beat them 33-16 sounds like coaching had something to do with that. Hell on the past I know what chs has for the future!

Hell on the past I know what chs has for the future! I cant argue there. Coaching is about 75% of the game, especially at the high school 2A level. Sometimes even the best coaches are outcoached and the best players are outplayed. As the old cliché goes, that's why you still play the game.

I don’t have his pre CHS accomplishments, other than he was fairly successful everywhere he went. I know my son played for him at CHS for two years and a different head coach prior to Brent’s arrival for two years. He wouldn’t trade his experience with Brent for any other coach.

New to this page . Looking at these post and last years post leading up to the championship game some of these so called experts should lose their Expert card for at least a year being they were so wrong about the game in the dome . This Indy fella shouldn't even be able to post after how wrong he was. But he has like 5 stars to my 1 so what do I know.

Doesn't it depend of what kind of beer??? Myself, every night the wife and I sit on the swing in the back yard (if it's not raining or too cold, of course) and have a couple of Shiner Bock's. Hope this doesn't start an argument over which beer is the best. Well, maybe I would like to read a good back and forth fuss. Also, one of my sons' makes damn good moonshine.

I just realized that one of my Catholic buds will be there. I’m nervous. He has already shot me once a couple years ago at a dove hunt in Texas. I had to have surgery to remove a lead shot from my eye. Is this a common practice with you Catholic guys? I’m definitely wearing goggles, should I wear a bullet proof vest?

Absolutely, very common, but no vest is necessary. We only want to cripple, not kill.
