Overall record: ND 25. Catholic 4 Playoffs ND holds a 4-1 margin. Catholic has a one game winning streak against ND which ties a school record held by their other 3 one game winning streaks. Catholic could double their streak with a win ND’s last regular season loss was to Catholic on week 4, 2014. Catholic could end that streak with a win. That’s impressive.

Everyone I know has the utmost respect for Louie based on his accomplishments and who he is as a person. He’s pretty much in a class all his own. His advantage over Indest’s teams is nothing to be ashamed of if you’re Indest. In fact, I’d say it’s something to be proud of. I’d say his record against Louie is better than just about any other coach. I’m sure Brent smiles with pride when he looks at his record with Louie lol. And I know he is gonna pat me on the back and thank me Friday night for pointing it out. indy, how much of your tongue was in your cheek when you composed that one? Of course Indest is not happy with his record against Louie. No self-respecting coach would be. But one thing you can't take away from him is his willingness to measure himself against the best. Since he's arrived at CHS he's scheduled Notre Dame every year when they haven't been in our district. He's definitely not scared and I've never heard him say a bad thing about Coach Cook. In fact, quite the opposite. Now, as far as that pat on the back Friday night...are you sure you didn't mean a punch in the nose? lol

The most important stat of all, in my opinion, is CHSNI has the most recent D-3 state championship trophy and Brent Indest was the coach. Until their is another champ crowned, he is the man. And if there is another state champ, Brent will still be my man. I would hang my hat on that too. It was a great win, but it doesn’t change the facts or our history. And FYI, I’m glad y’all are not losers anymore, when we won 20 in row it wasn’t much fun or an actual rilvalry. In your previous thread you say that the record is ND 25 wins, CHS 4 wins. In this post you're saying there was a 20 game win streak by ND. So if we remove that 20 game win streak since it's an anomaly, the record is ND 5 - CHS 4? That's pretty damn close!

He's pretty old. Played on the 1975 Notre Dame team. I also played on the 76 and 77 team and we beat Catholic all three years. And to let y’all know how much love we had for each other back then I got ejected in 76, when I went to get on the bus coach made me ride home with my parents. We went to square Hensgens house after and I got into another fight there. In 77 the Pios won 6-0 and we had a bench clearing free for all, and now we are all best of friends. Also an added trivia. Catholic had two kids murdered the week before, the movie “Dead man Walking” was about the murderer of the two kids death row story.

Final thoughts. 1. Ouch 2. We will probably meet again in the playoffs 3. They bought me the right size T shirt 4. I didn’t get my butt whipped 5. Their beer is cold 7. I didn’t get to taste the crow, they left to fast 8. They have great fans 9. They have pretty women 10. I didn’t see any lightning 11. All time record 26-4 ND 12. Looking forward to our continued rivalry and friendships 13. Brent is a great coach, But Louie is better. 14. Pios win 49-0

From where I was sitting, it looked Notre Dame employed some new schemes and technique on some very familiar plays. It didn’t appear that we were expecting that. Give credit to Louie and staff for doing what I think Indest did to them in the Dome.... change some blocking schemes and some to take advantage of how your opponent is coached and catch them off-guard. Congrats the kids on the team for going out and executing. Good luck the rest of the way until we meet again.

Are you saying it should be “words not work?”

Well that's a loss for some of us in the pick em column Yeah thanks for Indy and his "just copy and paste" advice! I found someone who's picks were close to what I wanted with the exception of Country Day and Notre Dame so I copied and pasted it as my picks. I changed the St. Charles one to Country Day, but then I got a phone call and got distracted and when I got back to my computer I thought I was done and saved it. Well I didn't Change the catholic pick to Notre Dame! 😡😡😡😆

I think Indest was experimenting the whole game just so they could have a shot to win when it matters. He was doing nothing more than feeling out ND’s game plan.

I’m sure all great coaches think that way after getting blown up. And only great coaches allow the game to be televised so the world can see how good they can blow a game. It all makes sense. I watched the game on replay. What a great halftime talk Brent gave with Smacker Miles.
