Just got out of jail and came right here to see if there was any discussion on this game. After reading the thread, I’m shocked. ND fans think their team is gonna win. CHS fans think their team is gonna win. ND fans think Louie is the better coach. CHS fans think Indest is the better Coach. I never would’ve guessed it. Look, I’m hoping for a CHS victory but there’s no way I’m making a prediction. It seems like over the past 5 years none of these games have been close. That includes last year’s regular season game and state final each won by a different team in decisive fashion. I sure don’t know what to expect this time. Maybe the shocker will be that it’s a close game.

One thing is for sure there will always be crow gumbo served to the loser ,last year not many gave CHS a chance in the dome but now it seems CHS has earned a lil RESPECT , so to keep building on that CHS will have to keep the bar raised high for years to come and I know as long as coach Indest is there hell continue to push the level of his programs to compete every year to the highest of there ability.

It’s like comparing Shop Rite and food n fun. Shop Rite is better to you because they are yours! 😜😜😜😜😜 I’m on my way to teal hunt for a couple days. I just realized that one of my Catholic buds will be there. I’m nervous. He has already shot me once a couple years ago at a dove hunt in Texas. I had to have surgery to remove a lead shot from my eye. Is this a common practice with you Catholic guys? I’m definitely wearing goggles, should I wear a bullet proof vest? Killing any teal Indy, or you got shot again?

Needless to say hunting became unimportant. Life is short enjoy the ride.

And I get free beer🍺 I’m still waiting for you to post your buddy’s pre/split post season accomplishments so we can have an accurate discussion. I don’t have his pre CHS accomplishments, other than he was fairly successful everywhere he went. I know my son played for him at CHS for two years and a different head coach prior to Brent’s arrival for two years. He wouldn’t trade his experience with Brent for any other coach. Of course you know his pre/split accomplishments but I don’t blame you for not wanting to discuss them (or lack of them) but Brent is one of the best post split D3 coaches, he is definitely in the top 14.

In honor of the game Friday, I'll head over to my local Shop Rite to get an ice cold beverage before our game.

You're my new favorite poster, and it's not close. Throwing haymakers! That's how we do it. I have friends who support that school but we're not friends during the games. The trash talking and spite goes both ways. Their A-hole coach entered a team in our golf tournament last year. It riled up some people, but we gladly cashed his check!

I'm going with ND. I would never pick that red team on Admiral Doyle to win a game. There's no shame in you picking Notre Dame but never picking that team on Admiral Doyle makes you wrong about 90% of the time. It becomes you being wrong 100% of the time when you're picking the game between them and that school in the "village" that you support. Since you're going to Shop Rite to get a drink before your game, you might want to get more than one. You're in for a long season.....

The coach is an A-hole because he threw some money at yall in the hopes you could use it to make your team more competitive? Your perspective is warped. Just get your whiny over to CHS for their homecoming and thank him for not running up the score with this starters when it's over. Now, if yall can't stop his JV, that's on you.

We know our program is down and in transition right now but let’s look at the future teams coming up. Games so far this year went like this. Jr High Game Loreauville 32 - Red School 0 11U PeeWee Game Loreauville 24 - Red School 0 Loreauville PeeWee plays Red School 6th grade team tomorrow and word on the street is that the JV teams will be playing later this season.

I just wonder how great of a coach he would be without the recruits from Vermilion & St Martin parishes the past few years.

Haven’t seen Notre Dame, but I’ve seen Catholic. They’re stout. Clean, we've looked decent against teams that really don't impress. Notre Dame would've beaten any of those teams easily as well. I'm of the opinion that both CHS and ND are good teams. Sometimes that translates to a good game and sometimes that rock gets rolling downhill and builds with one team dominating. Looking back at the 2 games between the two teams last year is proof of that. Each was a pretty one-sided victory with each team one winning one. They were probably pretty evenly matched but neither game showed that. I'm bullish on the Panthers but realize that on any given Friday night any game can go a lot of different ways.

Transition? It's been a long 6 year transition. I guess I'd take those PeeWee wins too if I knew in a few years when they get to the real competition they're gonna get smoked. Lerrville - the place where talented PeWee and Junior High teams grow up to be sorry varsity squads.

Players want to come to your school. Some you take, some you don't....like the ones from Lerrville who went to CHS begging. Why would CHS take kids who don't know how to win? You're funny cj. It sounds like you actually believe the crap you're spewing. As I understand it, the 2 kids from Vermilion Parish are the sons of two of Indest's former players at Abbeville. Because he is soooo hated, they wanted their kids to play for him. The kids from St. Martin Parish were former students at the Catholic school that went belly up and chose CHS over going all the way to Lafayette to attend Teurlings. Now, if I weren't the bigger man I'd start claiming recruiting at Loreauville based on those baseball players from outside of Loreauville's attendance zone. But, I do know they went there for a good education and a good baseball program unsolicited. They weren't recruited. You can believe whatever you want but the same is true about the kids you brought up.

You can believe whatever you want but the same is true about the kids you brought up. As I already stated in previous threads, I’m not against a family using their child’s athletic ability to get into a better educational situation. Just don’t hide it, man up and admit it. The boosters for the Red School that I know don’t hide the fact that some athletes are there at no cost to the family. And about our baseball program, only 1 starter on last years team didn’t come through our youth program. Most of the players played on our elementary and middle school teams. The transfer player everyone brings up had nothing to do with recruiting or the Red School. Another A-hole coach is the reason he’s a Tiger.
